UPDATE: It is confirmed all military planes and equipment will be a No Show at the Air Show. No refunds will be given.
Thanks to the republican controlled House, Senate, and White House.
The Wings over Houston Airshow is still on for this weekend October 18-19 but with a small caveat. According to KHOU Houston:
“All military and federal government assets, including ground display aircraft and military performers, will not attend the 2025 Wings Over Houston Airshow,” organizers said. “Assets include the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, NASA aircraft, and single-ship military demonstration teams.”
So no Thunderbirds, no static displays, no military presence, nothing government related because the government is shutdown. Tickets for general admission are still over priced at $60 each for those 15 and above. If the government funding is restored by Wednesday the military displays and the Thunderbirds will be available.
So, not only will your health care costs take a hit, you won’t get to see the Thunderbirds this year.

Please, do not politicize an air show. And to be clear it is the democrats in the congress who shutted down the government! Republicans are in power and need the government to be up and running, so they could get their agenda passed through, but democrats are trying to put a stick in the wheel however they could! They were able to shut the government off and that is what they did!
this is on you and the republicans you support. No one is buying your BS.
WELL SAID!
While the event might not have had the Thunderbirds we still need to give a big shout out to Wings over Houston for putting maximum effort to fill the holes. I was out there today and the energy was great! Everyone was very courteous and there were several enlisted personnel out with the F-16 answering any and all questions. Thanks to everyone involved in making the event still feel special.
