PinkyGate at La Marque City Council Ends with Assault Claims

August 29, 2026

Lots of finger pointing going on.

Leave it to La Marque City Councilman Joseph Lowry for filing a police report concerning assault in the City Council Chambers. Prior to a council meeting Lowry, once again, began harassing Council Member Yancy. According to the police report, filed by Lowry, Yancy had questioned Lowry about his Facebook posts attacking her, her family, and her church. She then informed him to “Keep her name out of his mouth” which sounds reasonable. At least she didn’t slap the shit out of him.

Lowry texted 911. (I didn’t know you can do that) The police took time off from chasing meth dealers, protecting domestic violence victims, collecting past due taxes, and confiscating illegal guns, and raced to City Hall. Lowry claimed Yancy “Got in my face and tapped my hand with her finger”. Police Officer Madgett stated “I saw Lowry in deep pain, his finger was swollen to the size of a Vienna sausage, although all of his fingers seemed to be that size. He was crying, calling for his mommy and flapping his hands up and down. It was a very disturbing scene which followed me for days providing uncontrollable laughter and tears.”

OK. That wasn’t exactly what Officer Madgett said but after a complete investigation and forensic audit of the multiple cameras angles, as well as the testimony of multiple witnesses, no charges were filed. Officer Madgett told Lowry to stop crying, man up, and grow a pair. (OK He didn’t really say that either)

The police called Lowry’s mom and waited with him until she picked him up. You can read the entire report here.

La Marque’s Mayor Arrested.

August 22, 2026

This is sad on so many levels.

La Marque Mayor Keith Bell was arrested in Brazoria County on indecent exposure charges, though details remain sparse. This comes right as Council postponed an ethics ordinance set for a vote next month.

Mayor Bell has earned a reputation for running fair, structured meetings despite facing continuous pushback—most notably from Councilman Joseph Lowry, whose own tenure has been defined by past convictions, tax liens, lawsuits, and a history of personal attacks on city officials. While these charges against Mayor Bell are troubling, it is important to wait for the facts. If true, the Mayor should take full accountability and prioritize what is best for the community, rather than letting local governance descend further into political mudslinging.

Lowry, on the other hand, is a toxic, convicted felon buried in tax lawsuits and notorious for harassing anyone in La Marque who crosses him. (The Who’s Who of Who has been Harassed by La Marque City Councilman) He is universally disliked, even among his own MAGAt party’s base. He constantly attacks the Mayor and city officials with wild, proofless claims of fraud that the DA throws in the trash. He will inevitably celebrate this news, but there’s a world of difference between a decent leader who made a massive mistake and destructive politicians who take joy in creating chaos. If the charges against Bell are true, he needs to take responsibility and do what’s right for La Marque.

There are good people who make mistakes. Bell might be one of them. I hope that if the allegations are true Bell will do what is necessary to address his issues as well as do what is right for the city.

And there are sick, perverted, fucked up human beings like Trump and Lowry who enjoy making people miserable. It’s hard to feel sorry for them once they fall and eventually they will fall.

Good luck Mayor.

BREAKING: Local Political Blogger Defends La Marque Councilman Joseph Lowry

August 19, 2026

It’s a first.

I have spent a significant amount of time focusing on La Marque Councilman Joseph Lowry, and with good reason. After some reflection, I have to admit that I actually agree with Lowry on one point: the city’s upcoming Ethics Ordinance is specifically targeting him.

And frankly, it should.

The City of La Marque was forced to revise its code due to an escalation in harassment targeting city employees, elected officials, and residents. Most municipalities maintain standard ethics policies to enforce baseline, common-sense professional behavior among staff, appointees, and council members. These rules outline unacceptable conduct and establish a clear remedies process. It is unfortunate that a city must explicitly put rules against harassment, conflicts of interest, and accepting improper gifts into writing—these concepts should simply be standard practice.

However, as Lowry noted, this ordinance directly addresses his specific behavior. He stands alone on the council when it comes to this pattern of conduct which can be viewed at “The Who’s Who of Who has been Harassed by La Marque City Councilman” including:

  • He is the only council member with a documented history of harassing colleagues (though his harassment of Councilwoman Yancy halted following a legal settlement).
  • He is the sole member accused of sexually harassing staff, notably by handing out a “Recall these balls” cookie.
  • He repeatedly levels unproven allegations against the Mayor regarding corruption and bribery.
  • He is the only member to have Temporary Restraining Orders filed against him by local citizens.
  • His track record includes harassing families in public restaurants, a First Amendment Auditor, and even a newborn baby.

Even advocacy groups like Stop Harassment In Texas (SHIT) have weighed in, stating plainly that no public employee or resident should have to endure this type of behavior or take this shit.

So, yes—I agree with Lowry. This ethics policy directly responds to his past conduct because he is the sole source of these issues. In practice, however, the ordinance applies equally to every city official and employee, not just him.

The council convenes today at 4:00 PM to consider adopting this measure and to address the lawsuit Lowry brought against the city—a case he has already lost in both District and Appeals Court.

La Marque City Councilman Files $1 Million Lawsuit

August 17, 2026

It’s Lowry. Again.

La Marque City Councilman Joseph Lowry is no stranger to courtroom battles, often finding himself on either side of a lawsuit. His latest legal maneuver stems from a recent truck accident in which he claims he was “T-boned” in his truck. Given Lowry’s habit of broadcasting Facebook Live videos while behind the wheel, questions remain as to whether a forensic audit of his phone might play a role in the investigation. Nevertheless, he has officially filed a petition, CV-0095926, seeking $1 million in damages against the driver.

You can read the original petition here. His suit is demanding $1 Million for the following:

  • Compensatory damages against Defendant;
  • Actual damages
  • Past and future medical expenses;
  • Past and future lost wages;
  • Past and future loss of household services;
  • Consequential damages;
  • Pain and suffering;
  • Exemplary damages;
  • Past and future mental anguish;
  • Past and future impairment;
  • Past and future disfigurement;
  • Interest on damages (pre and post-judgment) in accordance with the law
  • Costs of Court;
  • Expert witness fees;
  • Costs of copies of depositions; and
  • Such other and further relief as the Court may deem just and proper.

The Joseph Lowry Ethics Reform Ordinance Passes in La Marque

August 11, 2026

It’s not what you think it is. You can read the entire new ordinance here.

Last night, the City Council conducted the first reading of a proposed rewrite of their Code of Ethics. If passed, the ordinance will apply to current city employees, Council members, and former city officials. According to the ordinance:

Rather, this Article is intended to provide a framework within which to encourage ethical behavior and enforce basic standards of conduct while providing due process that protects the rights of both the Complainant and the Accused.

If you actually read the proposed ordinance, you’ll see it’s completely standard for cities of any size. Contrary to Councilman Joseph Lowry’s claims, it does not give City Council the power to remove an elected official. Higher governing bodies certainly have that power—Congress expelled George Santos, and the Texas House expelled Bryan Slaton after a severe conduct investigation of providing alcohol to an underaged staffer and having all night sex with her. Houston’s City Council can’t remove a colleague; at most, they can strip committee assignments or restrict participation, as seen previously with Councilman Greg Travis.

What the ordinance does do is set baseline ethics standards—prohibiting harassment, conflicts of interest, illegal gifts, and the misuse of city resources. All are common sense ethical standards. It also creates a structured review process for official complaints, but the available penalties stop short of removal. While Lowry might try to use this new system to level allegations against Mayor Bell and Councilmember Yancy, the process requires verifiable evidence—something Lowry has claimed to hold for five years, though he has yet to produce it. It also addresses frivolous complaints and penalties for filing them.

You can read the entire new ordinance here.

Galveston County DA: Acquit Or Get Off The Pot.

August 1, 2026

UPDATE: CJ Beard is scheduled to appear in County Court at Law #3 this Friday, August 7, 2026, before Judge Jack Ewing. Beard’s legal team will request the case—which has stretched on for nearly two years—be dismissed or immediately set for trial. Assistant District Attorney Casey Kirst is assigned to the case, though Kirst failed to attend the previous hearing. See you Friday!

How Long Does Galveston County Need to Resolve a Simple Misdemeanor?

Re: Case #MD-0426868 (Galveston County)

In October 2025, Texas City resident CJ Beard was charged with an “adult misdemeanor”. The complaint stems from a post involving La Marque City Councilman Joseph Lowry—specifically, publishing information about Lowry in the same manner Lowry routinely does to others. Nearly two years later, the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office has yet to adequately review the complaint or prepare its case. On Friday, Beard was back in court only for the DA’s office to ask for yet another continuance.

The conflict began when Lowry went to the police after his address was posted on Facebook, demanding immediate prosecution. This follows a familiar pattern: Lowry instigates and harasses, then contacts law enforcement the moment someone stands up to him. His extensive history of police complaints includes reports of a vandalized garden gnome, flat tires, and even claims of threats involving pigs (read the report here). His recent complaint against a First Amendment auditor was classified as “UNFOUNDED”—though it still resulted in an arrest before charges were dropped a day later. (A lawsuit against the County may be coming)

Unfortunately for Beard, his case hasn’t been resolved in a single day—it has dragged on endlessly while remaining active.

Meanwhile, Lowry has repeatedly posted private information about local residents on his Lousy News Network—including mine (see the full list of individuals targeted over the years here). He has even gone as far as filing County “Doing Business As” (DBA) documents using the names of people he has targeted (county documents here). Filing false government records is a felony, yet the DA’s office refuses to address it. (ask Hunter Biden)

Instead, the District Attorney’s office seems bogged down prioritizing cases like chasing First Amendment auditors and investigating stolen garden gnomes. It is time for the Galveston County DA’s Office to show some accountability: either move forward with prosecution, or drop the charges against CJ Beard once and for all.

In short, either acquit or get off the pot.

La Marque Council Member Loses Back Taxes Lawsuit

July 31, 2026

Again.

This is the second time La Marque City Councilman Joseph Lowry has been sued for back taxes. This time in Case # 26-TX-0085 Lowry’s concrete pumping company, Six Brothers, owes over $27,000 to multiple entities. In his first case Lowry eventually paid his taxes and the suit was dismissed. That cost him $43,000.

But in this latest case he simply didn’t show up and the judge issued a default judgement for over $27,000. According to the judgement, the County can now place liens on his Concrete Pumping business.

You can read the entire judgement issued by Judge Jeth Jones here.

Texas City Police Slaps Down La Marque City Councilman

July 24, 2026

The police report filed by Lowry is ridiculous, preposterous, outrageous!

In a previous post I listed an incomplete list of police reports filed with the La Marque Police Department by Councilman Joseph Lowry. More will be posted soon but Lowry is now filing with the Texas City Police. Lowry was whining about one of his stalking victims, Harvey Freebird. Harvey was getting an oil change and just so happen to visit the same oil change station that Lowry and his beautiful bride was at.

Needless to say Lowry jumped into his conspiracy theory that Harvey was now stalking him and called the police. He filed report #TCPD26-003722. The police jumped into action, dispatching police with sirens blaring and lights flashing. They quickly surrounded the oil change business like ICE jumping on a Mexican grade school student. (Ok that is a bit of an exaggeration) Actually the police came, they listened, they wrote a report, and they found the complaint UNFOUNDED. In other words Lowry was nothing but a whiny little bitch again.

Needless to say I bet Lowry is madder than a wet hen and will be calling the Texas City Police criminals, corrupt, and compromised. Compound this with the fact that his city provided cell phone has been disconnected, his Facebook page has been deleted, and he has been outed as using a fake Facebook account of Jon Jon McMuffin’s. It’s been a bad week for hime. You can read the entire report here.

List of Police Complaints Filed by La Marque Councilman

July 21, 2026

This is just insane. This is coming from a sitting, elected, Council Member.

La Marque City Councilman, Joseph Lowry, is well known for running to the La Marque police department and filing a police report for everything from name calling to pigs eating people (seriously). Below is a list of complaints filed from 1/1/2023 – 3/20/2025. You can view the entire list of complaints with all the investigation details here. It is a searchable PDF file and you can easily find each case by searching for the case number.

This list will be updated once La Marque releases the data for the time period 3/20/25 – 6/30/26. BTW he filed another report with the Texas City police just yesterday claiming harassment at an oil change business. Some of the most notable complaints include:

  • Lowry received a postcard with a picture of pigs. He believed that was a threat because pigs eat people. He asked for the postcard to be taken and dusted for fingerprints. (seriously)
  • Multiple reports concern a child refusing to go with Lowry. These are disturbing to say the least. Reference case #24-02297
  • He has various complaints concerning name calling and being approached at a restaurant claiming harrassment
  • He has a number of complaints about phone calls.

This list does not include the now famous complaint about someone destroying his garden gnomes. I am sure the police department has issued a BOLO for the alleged perpetrators.

The Who’s Who of Who has been Harassed by La Marque City Councilman

July 12, 2026
Ain’t that some SHIT

Before tomorrow’s city council meeting I thought I would compile this list. I will not name names except for the obvious. These are the people La Marque Councilman Joseph Lowry has harassed over the last few years. Some have filed for protective orders. Some have sued. Some are expected to do so in the near future.

I am sure I missed some.

Harassment Charges by La Marque Councilman are Dropped

July 10, 2026

You can smell a lawsuit a mile away.

As I wrote a few days ago, Harvey Freebird was arrested on July 4th for a harassment complaint by La Marque City Councilman Joseph Lowry. It probably was due to the incident in the parking lot of the Galveston County Courthouse which Harvey recorded. Lowry called the police who investigated Harvey, viewed his video, and cleared him. Later Lowry entered the courtroom with a police escort much like a whiny ass little bitch.

But today those charges have been dropped by the District Attorney’s Office, but not forgotten. There are a lot of questions remaining to be answered. Was law enforcement illegally using the FLOCK cameras to track Harvey? Who signed the warrant for his arrest? Who wrote the warrant? Why was a warrant approved? What was the basis for granting a warrant in the first place? And what did Lowry and/or his wife have to do with this?

If I was Harvey I would be asking these questions and demanding answers.

La Marque Councilman Loses Lawsuit Against the City (Again)

July 8, 2026

UPDATE: Looks like Lowry has to pay the appeals court costs. See page two below.

What an incredible waste of tax dollars.

Back in April of 2022 City Councilman Joseph Lowry filed suit against the City of La Marque, members of the Council and the Police Chief. He lost that case and appealed it. Today the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals Case #25-40519 affirmed the lower court’s decision against Lowry. In his original lawsuit Lowry alleged under 42 U.S.C. (\S ) 1983 that officials retaliated against and censored him by removing yard signs, verbally attacking him, and banning him from posting on the city’s Facebook page. Yes, he sued the City for someone allegedly removing his campaign signs, probably calling him a fat ass, and banning him from myspace. (LOL)

The United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas Case# 3:22-CV-112 issued a summary judgement against Lowry back in April of 2022. For over 4 years the City had to litigate this case spending tax dollars on such a worthless case. Lowry has a habit of being sued and filing frivolous suits like this one. Lowry likes to mess with peoples campaign signs as well as verbally attacking people and banning them from his own Facebook pages.

Well now he lost. Again. He could be a fool and appeal it to the Supreme Court but what kind of an idiot lawyer would take such a worthless case?

Galveston County Law Enforcement. Is it About Race?

July 8, 2026

You have to wonder.

You have to wonder why Galveston County and La Marque Police ignore complaints filed concerning harrassment by people of color concerning La Marque City Councilman Joseph Lowry but when Mr. Harrassment himself files a complaint they issue a BOLO, jump into action, activates the SWAT team and jumps on the alleged perpetrator like Lowry on a box of cinnamon sugar donuts.

There have been many complaints filed with the La Marque Police Department and the District Attorney’s Office asking for help yet they take no action. People of color have called press conferences asking law enforcement to take action and curb the abuse by Lowry before there is violence. They have filed complaints of being harassed at home, church, on the street, and even while trying to enjoy a family dinner at Roadhouse. Yet they do nothing. Many have spoken at City Council detailing accounts of harrassment by Lowry. There are complaints filed with the DA’s office about impersonating a law enforcement officer and filing false documents with the county. Yet nothing. Suits have been filed against Lowry for harrassment and defamation and yet law enforcement is silent. This abuse been going on for years all documented by The Mark, a Facebook page and yet no action is taken. But….

When they received a complaint concerning harrassment from Mr. Harrassment himself they jump into action. This weekend it looks like Lowry filed a complaint against a 1st Amendment Auditor, Harvey Freebird which resulted in a warrant being issued and an arrest once he crossed the Galveston County border. All of this for a Class B Misdemeanor. Many questions are being asked like which Judge signed the warrant, and what did the warrant say. Also why was the Facebook page “Freebird Exposed and Unhinged” deleted immediately after posting the picture above? This page was managed by members of Galveston County law enforcement. Why did they take such drastic action on behalf of a fat white guy while ignoring the pleas of people of color concerning harrassment by Lowry? It’s almost as if law enforcement in Galveston County is in full support of what Lowry is doing towards the Black community.

You really have to wonder.

La Marque Councilman Files Harassment Charges. Law Enforcement Descends.

July 7, 2026

You have to get up pretty early in the morning to make up stuff like this. Mr Harassment, La Marque City Councilman Joseph Lowry, whined to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office about….wait for it….being harassed.

But the videos taken of the so called harrassment will probably end in the charges being dropped. Harvey Freebird is a “1st Amendment Auditor”. He follows the police and videos them to make sure they are not abusing their power. Harvey attended the trial against City Councilman Joseph Lowry who was being sued for…..wait for it again…..harrassment. In that suit he settled with one of the plaintiffs, won on a technicality on one, and one was dismissed. Harvey made two videos when he became aware of Lowry sitting in his minivan in the parking lot instead of attending his own trial. He also videoed him walking into the courtroom with a police escort.

His first video was from a distance in the courthouse parking lot. Of course Lowry didn’t like to be harassed much like the dozen of people who he has harassed so he did what he does best, he called the police. Unfortunately for Lowry the police came, talked with Harvey, and cleared him of any wrong doing. They attempted to talk with Lowry but he was ugly crying in his minivan and was too verklempt to talk. (ok I made that up)

His second video was taken in the Courthouse as Lowry was walking down the hall, with a police escort, to enter the courtroom. That video would have shown no one was harassing anyone but the Judge required Harvey to delete the video. Later a member of the media approached the judge and made her aware that she had also taken pictures. She was required to delete those pictures. The Courtroom has signs prohibiting videos or picture but I do not remember signs for the entire Courthouse. Regardless, the video was deleted.

So after settling his suit for harassment Lowry calls his police buddies in Galveston County and files a harassment complaint against Harvey. The Sherriff’s office issues an APB, a BOLO, activates their SWAT team, and alerts the National Guard as the FLOCK cameras detects Harvey’s truck crossing into the County. Law enforcement quickly descended upon Harvey’s location and served a warrant on him for a class B misdemeanor offense all while there was chaos and frivolity abound.

(OK. I made most of that up, except it did take 4 officers, and it was just a Class B misdemeanor) Harvey was arrested, released, and charges will probably be dropped, and then hopefully he will sued the living shit out of the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office for wait for it…..harrassment.

Day Three of the Lowry Trial. The Verdict is in!

June 17, 2026

Both Ross and Yancy lost.

When a jury renders their decision we respect it. (Unless you are a republican) We may not like it but we respect it and move on. Overall Ross had a very difficult threshold to get a decision based upon the instructions given by the Judge. Yancy on the other hand lost due to a technicality.

Her case was a violation of a settlement between Lowry and her in 2023. He agreed not to harass her anymore yet did it anyway. Unfortunately according to the settlement, called a “Rule 11”, she had to alert Lowry to stop harassing her 14 days prior to filing suit. The evidence that was presented wasn’t enough for the Judge or the jury. Did Lowry harass Yancy, her sons, her husband, and her Church? If you have kept up with Lowry you can make that decision yourself. I thought it was pretty clear.

Now if Lowry continues to harass Yancy she can alert him 14 days before filing suit. Again. Maybe since Lowry’s attorneys based their entire case on the Rule 11, that they introduced, Lowry will think twice before harassing Yancy again.

Maybe someone needs to copy all the evidence presented to the jury and post it for all to see.

Day Three of the Lowry Trial. The Verdict

June 17, 2026

Closing arguments start at 1:00. I am assuming the jury will get the case today and it will be over. I just can’t understand how someone, anyone, especially an elected official would stoop so low to harass someone, their family, their church, and others in the community. It is just mind boggling to me. Just to remind you of just one incident, here is someone speaking at a recent city council meeting concerning the harassment his family endured. Ask yourself why would anyone do this?

Day Two of the Lowry Trial. Lowry Takes the Stand

June 16, 2026

Today had some drama and Lowry taking the stand. Here are my notes. It was a long day.

  • Drama. Lowry eventually showed up after lunch. Harvey Freebird recorded him in the hall. The judge heard of this and asked Harvey to approach the bench. She claimed that no pictures or video were allowed in the hall. (I did not know that. The signs say no cameras in the courtroom) She just asked Harvey to delete the video or be held in contempt of court. Harvey apologized and deleted the video.
  • More Drama. Lowry must have whined to the judge about Harvey calling him a “piece of shit”. Harvey denied it but said he had it on video that he just deleted. Nevertheless she asked Harvey to leave the courtroom because he was disrupting. He left.
  • Even More Drama. A reporter asked to approach the bench and admitted she too took pictures in the hall. The Judge asked her to just delete the pictures and that was it.
  • Back to the trial. A video of Lowry calling her sons “Yancy Boys” and “Drug dealers” was admitted into evidence. I am not sure when that will be played.
  • Lowry’s attorneys tried to set up a timeframe repeatedly trying to make it seem like Lowry was actually the victim. (I couldn’t follow his logic but that theme was repeated later.)
  • The Judge removed the jury to discuss a comment made by Yancy’s past history. It almost resulted in a mistrial but both attorneys resolved the matter and we moved on.
  • Rule 11 was, again, talked about. Back in 2002 Yancy sued for a Temporary Restraining Order against Lowry. In 2023 they both agreed to a Rule 11 where both agreed not to harass each other, in general, even though there was only one party doing the harassing.
  • The next day an article was written in the Galveston Daily News which the attorney claimed was Yancy violating that agreement. Yancy didn’t. Anyone who read the article could see that she made very general comments about good governing. This will be back later.
  • Lowry’s lawyers kept asking her if she spoke to The Guardian, or The Defender, or other media. What she told The Defender was general comments about MAGA.

Ross takes the stand

  • James Ross was a City Councilman.
  • Retired Navy
  • Lives in La Marque and taught culinary
  • VFW Volunteer
  • Volunteered with the City on ordinance updates
  • He attempted to open a Lego store in La Marque
  • Claims investors dropped off because of the chaos in La Marque caused by Lowry
  • Claims Lowry Doxxed him, posting his personal information on the net
  • Lowry posted that people should call the Sheriff to perform a wellness check due to Ross’s mental health issues. The attorney showed that post.
  • Claims he received unwarranted phone calls after Lowry would post about him
  • Showed a post by Lowry stating about Ross “He is a scumbag who hurts women”
  • Claimed that Lowry said Ross was taking bribes, and tax payer money for his Lego store
  • Showed a pic of Lowry driving around with an AK Pistol and a 5% hat
  • Ross for safety reasons put up cameras around his house
  • He filed 3 police reports on Lowry
  • Claims that people constantly ask about his alleged illegal activity
  • Makes him feel embarrassed and hurt especially at the VFW
  • Lowry’s attorney claims public officials are open to criticism
  • Ross states in long drawn out mode that there is a line when someone accuses you of breaking the law
  • Lawyer tries to claim that Ross and Yancy conspired together to join the lawsuit against Lowry
  • Ross claims nothing of the sort happened. Their cases are different, and they are.

CJ Beard takes the stand

  • CJ describes his past, working for a Congressman, Owns a home building company, Has a BA from UH and a Masters from TSU.
  • Used Lowry’s company to pump concrete for his foundations
  • Stopped at one time
  • Lowry sent an email to his Mom, “Momma Rose” telling her to look out, or be careful or something like that
  • That was the beginning of Beard taking Lowry seriously
  • Lowry said something at an elementary school function claiming Beard was a “thug” and a “crooked thief”
  • Claims Lowry visited his construction sites making racial comments
  • Attorneys asked if he referred to Lowry as a No Neck Racist
  • Admitted to being charged with filing a false police report but all charges were dropped.

Lowry takes the stand

  • Lowry had short simple answers such as no sir, yes sir, I don’t remember, I don’t know, I don’t recall, and “I don’t know what your are talking about”
  • Lowry claims he is the victim with Yancy posting hundreds of harassing comments
  • Admits he was the defendant when Yancy filed a Temporary Restraining Order against him which lead to the Rule 11
  • Claims Yancy “ran” to the newspapers the very next day but had no proof
  • Claims someone at the paper told him (I thought that was hearsay?)
  • Claims that Yancy “knows” people at the paper
  • Claims she broke the Rule 11 agreement when talking to the paper. (Not true. Go read the article)
  • Attorneys hammered the “This rule applies to both” arguments (Even though Yancy was not harassing Lowry)
  • According to the agreement Yancy was to contact Lowry if he violated the agreement
  • Lowry claims he is not a racist
  • Claims he has been harassed hundreds of time
  • Claims this has impacted his business
  • Claims he had to move his kids to private school
  • Also claims he was “surrounded” by Yancy supporters in the parking lot. The Judge didn’t seem to care.
  • On Cross Yancy’s attorney asked about Michelle Smith. Lowry claims she is an anonymous person posting. No one asked where she was posting or when or what she posted.
  • Claims he made money from his first Lowry News Network on Facebook. That was removed.
  • Acknowledged that he claimed Ross was a pedophile even though he has no proof
  • Lowry claims it is because he was a 55 year old man wanting to open a lego store. (Legos are not just for kids. There are legos that costs hundreds of dollars.)
  • Admits to posting of Ross’s personal information on the web
  • Lowry was asked if he recalls a email from the City Manager asking Lowry to stop posting pictures of Yancy and her family online. Of course Lowry said “I don’t recall” or one of the phrases.
  • The attorney brought out the email to refresh his memory. After a discussion between the attorneys and judge the email was put into evidence.
  • He eventually had to acknowledge it
  • Lowry was then asked about his own deposition which he could not remember. The part he didnt remember was the following which he “disregarded everything involving that Chapter 11”

I left early at around 4:45. I believe the trial will continue tomorrow.

La Marque Councilman a No Show at Trial, Posts Racist Message

June 15, 2026

I hate the State for it’s lack of protection for the common man.

La Marque City Councilman Joseph Lowry, AKA Chicken Little, chickened out on trial today. Lowry is being sued for harassment and other counts by Councilwoman Kimberly and former Councilman James Ross. Lowry didn’t show up and isn’t expected to show up leaving his attorneys, multiple, to carry his jock strap. He re-post the post to the right just a few days ago. It is clearly racist, using the N word, and comparing Blacks to “nappy headed future watermelon felons”. It is disgusting. Anyone who would post this would be fired.

Today there were a number of discussions in the morning with jury selection in the afternoon. The trial started at 2:00 PM with the first witness, Kimberly Yancy testifying till the end of the day. She is expected to return to the stand in the morning. Here are some notes I took.

  • Yancy’s attorney laid out his case. It is about emotional distress, harassment, stalking, and mental anguish.
  • Lowry’s attorney put up 3 post by Lowry claiming “This is why we are here” and it’s all about free speech protected by the first amendment of the Constitution.
  • Under testimony Yancy said there are 600 documented cases of harassment by Lowry
  • Including harassment of her, her husband, her children, the school she worked at and even her church
  • She filed a suit against Lowry in 2022 for a Temporary Restraining Order
  • That suit was settled with an agreement between the two to not harass each other, personally, or online.
  • Lowry has since violated that agreement
  • She has never had to deal with harrassment
  • She (they) bought a firearm for protection, they never had one before or the need to have one
  • Yancy mentioned her and her family being called thugs, ghetto ass, and lowry vowing to put her in prison
  • Claims Lowry has doxed her, posting her SSN, address, and other personal information
  • Claims that her kids were invited to dinner by Lowry to break bread (my words) It did not go well
  • Called her kids pedophiles
  • He created a Facebook page about her
  • Says it was the most demeaning time in her life

Lowry’s attorney crossed examined her immediately raising his voice attacking.

  • Claims Yancy referred to Lowry as a KKK member.
  • Attacking Yancy for not contacting Lowry prior to filing suit
  • Claimed Yancy told kids at her school that Lowry killed her dog. Yancy said the students (high school) asked her if it was true that Lowry posted a video claiming this.
  • The attorneys seemed to be grasping at straws looking for a technical issue to squash the case.

Tomorrow Yancy will finish and I expect James Ross to take the stand. His case is about harassment also. That should be interesting. The trial starts tomorrow at 10:15.

Visitor Instructions for La Marque Councilman’s Trial on Monday June 15

June 14, 2026

If you are going to go to La Marque City Councilman Joseph Lowry’s trial tomorrow here are a few tips. Visit this page to get updates on the trial. You never know what can happen that would result in a postponement.

The Case # is 24-CV-2218 | Walter Burt, Et Al vs. Joseph Lowry. It is being held in the 212th District Court, with Judge Grady, Patricia. The court is located at 600 59th St Galveston, TX 77551 in the relatively new Justice Center. The case begins at 9:00AM with jury selection, as I have been told. Parking is free. Expect to go through security checks.

Please respect the court. No loud talking. No talking in front of the doors of the court. NO CAMERAS or taking pictures of the court whether you are inside or not. (Ask me about my personal experience) No outbursts. Of course, silence your cell phones.

Hopefully the trial will start immediately after the jury selection and we can have a drink at a local restaurant later that day.

La Marque’s Runoff, and Who They Ran Off

May 6, 2026

City Councilman Joe Compian and his challenger Sade Williams will be in a run off for La Marque City Council District B. Both received 56 votes. The runoff will be sometime in June. Compian, a sitting Councilman, only received 35% of the vote with 65% of all voters supporting someone else. The next election will be between two candidates, not four. This should concern Compian. If I was going to advise Compian I would tell him to put some distance between himself and Councilman Lowry. As I have said in the past Lowry and his wife are as popular as herpes at a hot tub party. Speaking of his wife…

La Marque has a runoff in June, but on May 2 voters ran off Sarah Lowry, the wife of Councilman Joseph Lowry. Lowry was a candidate for District D and was crushed by 53 points with 55 voters in District D voting for her. 55?!?!? Really? Getting runoff by 53 points is sad but getting 55 votes for someone with the baggage of her husband’s child like attitude is really sad!

But the good news is that Tonia Griffin returns to Council. Good luck to Compian and Williams in the runoff.
