If they will turn on their own, they will turn on you.

Mexican Americans are widely recognized for their competitive spirit and deep loyalty to family, community, and country. Historically, many Mexican American voters lean toward moderate political candidates rather than those on the extremes. Grounded in traditional values, strong faith traditions, and close ties to the Catholic Church, many prioritize family, anti-abortion stances, and lawful immigration processes.

However, a troubling shift continues in the Republican Party. A group of self-identified “Mexican MAGAt” candidates is running for office in Harris County under an increasingly extreme Republican platform. By aligning with a party whose policies actively harm immigrants, quiet endorsement of severe ICE enforcement practices in our streets, and rhetoric that targets Muslims, the LGBTQ+ community, educators, parents, and taxpayers, these candidates are actively opposing the interests of their own friends, families, and faith communities.

It’s sad that any human being would be supporting a party that is based on Khaos, Korruption, and Kruelty, the KKK of the Republican Party, much less an individual who knows their family and friends could be the next target of ICE. It is truly disgusting. There are more Mexican MAGAts running for State and Federal offices. That deserves a dedicated post.

The following six candidates in Harris County exemplify this shift:

• Orlando Sanchez for Harris County Judge. He recently pleaded wth Mexican American voters to forget his is a Mexican MAGAt and a Republican. Orlando is actually Cuban American but you get the idea.
• Richard Vega for County Commissioner Pct 2. Vega is a CHINO (Christian in Name Only) He is a pastor of some kind of christian spin off. He is a buddy of Donald Trump.
• Israel Garcia for Judge County Civil Court at Law. Israel used to be a Democrat. He not only has turned his back on his party but also on his gente (people).
• Xavier Alfaro for Judge County Criminal Court.
• Jessica Padilla for Judge County Criminal Court. I don’t know what is worse, a Mexican American MAGAt or a female MAGAt.

So much for “Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.“

The Houston Chronicle wrote an article concerning a proposed Mosque in La Porte. The community has purchased the land and are fundraising to pay off the loan. No plans are in place to build as of yet but the CHINOs (Christians in Name Only) are out in force led by the Republican nominee for Harris County Commissioner and Pastor, Richard Vega.

Vega is an extreme, right wing, christian nationalist. He has ran for office before and lost. He has an interesting past as was noted by his primary opponent. He is mostly funded by Christian Nationalist Senator Money Mayes Middleton. He has posted videos all giddy about putting the 10 Commandments in public schools yet continues to lie about his opponent supporting terrorist organizations. He has a relationship with Trump and was recently invited to the White House for reasons unknown. He is a Community Pastor at Community Transformation Church.

Vega is running on the issues important to voters in the district and are priorities of the Republican Party, stopping Sharia Law (that doesn’t exist), attacking Drag Queen events, and of course attacking the Muslim community. That is what he is doing today in his attack of the proposed Mosque in La Porte. The Muslim community has had event centers in Clear Lake for at least a decade. They live in peace because they are decent people and so are we. The only group spewing hate towards others is Vega and his followers. Vega likes to shoot his mouth off but refused to provide a comment for the Houston Chronicles article. According to the Chronicle:

Pastor Richard Vega, who’s running for Precinct 2 Harris County Commissioner, referenced plans for a La Porte mosque in a campaign ad video earlier this month. “LA PORTE IS DEMANDING ANSWERS!” he began his video caption, which mentioned plans for what he called a “massive Islamic center.” Vega did not respond to multiple phone requests and an emailed request for comment.

Vega needs to take the advice of Trump and stick to preaching whatever he is preaching. Hopefully he will not learn about the Buddhist Temple west of Friendswood. Praise the lord.

What did you expect? Mayes is 100% on the Trump train and will never leave no matter what Trump says, what he tweets, or how he smells. Trump has endorsed him for Texas Attorney General and like Ken Paxton his lips will be firmly attached to Trump’s ass. He is infected with TKAS, Trump Kiss Ass Syndrome.

So much for all that Christian bullshit that Mayes spews.

Dear Senator Mayes Middleton,

What the f*** is wrong with you? Seriously. Do you think it is funny to make a comment like that? Texas Representative Gene Wu was born in China. His parents immigrated to the United States shortly afterward. He is a United States citizen, an outstanding Legislator, a well respected attorney, and an over all wonderful individual. Making a racist comment towards him or towards anyone is not acceptable for anyone, much less a State Senator.

You claim to be a “conservative” but making racist comments is NOT a conservative value. You claim to be a devout “Christian” but making racist comments goes against the teachings of Christ. You should be ashamed of yourself for stooping so low.

You owe Representative Wu and apology as well as to your church and to your constituents. Or maybe you should consider stepping down, taking a knee, and asking forgiveness from your Savior.
