It’s Scott Bowen.

The former CCISD Trustee who was ousted in 2024 by a conservative republican has brought out his nails in the race for House District 129 GOP primary. Not quite sure why the nails have to be sharpened or used. Scott is the darling of the Republican Party. He has lots of endorsements by the extremists of the Party including Little Baby Briscoe Cain and Money Mayes Middleton. Even Greg Abbott has endorsed him, although his endorsement didn’t help Bowen’s recruited candidates in CFISD. They got wiped out. I’m just waiting for Bowen to accept the endorsement from a suspected pedophile.

But regardless, Bowen is attacking his opponent, Bob Mitchell. Bob is one of those old fashion Republican who believes in acting honorably, making relationships to make accomplishments, and not being an awkward jerk off like Scott. According to Scott, Bob has a home in Comal County and is taking a homestead exemption. Maybe Scott thinks that would disqualify him from running but lawsuits by the Harris County Attorney against Dave Wilson failed for the very same situation. You can read about Wilson here.

But if by chance Bowen gets his ass beaten in the primary he will be the first one at the courthouse to file suit and whine about it. We will see. BTW Mitchell is head and shoulders better than Scott. Besides Bowen’s support of school vouchers, ending CRT which was never taught in CCISD schools, and rallying against diversity, equality, and inclusion, Bowen hasn’t accomplished much and probably wouldn’t accomplish much as a State Representative. He doesn’t get along with others. If elected he will take a knee and do whatever Abbott tells him to do.

The primary is in March.
