Bay Area Conservatives Reject the Conservative Candidate for State Representative

Well I had hoped the Conservatives in the Bay Area would have taken a stand. Instead they took a knee.

This is sad. Former CCISD Trustee Scott Bowen, after a decisive rejection for re-election, defeated the former President of the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership for the Republican nomination for State Representative. Bowen has little if any political skills besides doing what he is told. Bob Mitchell had everything you needed in a State Representative, political experience, business connections, and politician connections. Not a bad set of qualifications for any candidate for office.

Mitchell claimed he is a “Trump” Conservative. Personally that isn’t a great selling point for this election cycle and it obviously didn’t work with the voters. Mitchell lost 75-25. Bowen on the other hand is no conservative and he offers little to the business community. He will be a yes man for Abbott if both are elected. The Bay Area has been represented by a Republican for over 30 years and yet we face huge issues. Our schools are being underfunded (again) especially with the voucher scheme. Home insurance rates are through the roof. Health insurance costs are sickening. Electricity bills are shocking. Bowen has no skills to address these issues and we will continue to pay for it. Literally.

Over the last 30 years, under republican rule, I cannot remember one single town hall meeting by an elected official. They have neglected us and we are paying for it. As I have said before, there is a better candidate running. On March 3 it was Bob Mitchell.

On March 4 it is Albert Wittliff.
