Spending Campaign Cash on Legal Fees. Ft Bend County Judge KP George

OUCH! $575,000 down the drain.

Ft Bend County Judge KP George was found guilty of money laundering, a third degree felony punishable by 2-10 years in jail. He was guilty of funneling $46,000 from his donors to his personal account. That is less than 10% of what he spent on legal fees in his defense. He funneled $575,000 from his donors to three attorneys, Rusty Hardin, Jared Woodfill, and Terry Yates. Yates and Woodfill pictured to your left.

Rusty received $125,000, Yates $110,000, and Woodfill received $340,000 all for naught. These expenditures were from 7/24 – 2/26. During that same period he spent $660,875 most on legal fees. Prior to the court case George was a Democrat but changed to the Republican Party because it was probably more inline with his Republican Christian values. (lol) Democrats applauded the move and was glad to see him out the door. Unfortunately for George he was beaten like a wet mop in the Republican primary and will be removed from office after his sentencing.

I am sure KP will be thanking all of his donors for their hard earned money that ended in a conviction.
