Raising Campaign Cash: Bob Mitchell for Bay Area State Representative

January 19, 2026

Mitchell also has a $50,000 outstanding loan.

Since announcing for State Representative for the Bay Area Bob Mitchell has raised $91,831. 60% of the total, $55,719, came from Associated Republicans of Texas Campaign Fund out of Austin. They have provided research, mailers, push cards, and polling.

$25,000 came from Joan McKinney of Norman Frede Chevrolet. These two donors make up 88% of all his donations. 74% of his donations came from out of district. At least he isn’t taking money from billionaires with ties to Nick Fuentes.

There is a better choice in this race.

Scott Bowen’s Billionaire Buddy’s Donations

January 19, 2026

Bowen’s Billionaire Buddies are back.

Scott Bowen continues to fund his campaigns with money from his billionaire buddies, Timothy Dunn and Farris Wilks. As you may remember Dunn and Wilks created Defend Texas Liberty PAC and funneled money into the CCISD elections after encouragement from CCISD Trustee Scott Bowen. The PAC later disbanded after being caught meeting with Nick Fuentes a known white supremacist.  But they are back under a new name Texans United for a Conservative Majority. (TUCM)

Bowen raised a total of $122,751 since running for State Representative. Of that amount, 48% came from two donors. $25,000 came from TUCM and $35,000 came from Texans for Lawsuit Reform. TLR has raised millions to support candidates who will pledge to limit our rights to our civil court system. More on them later.

80% of his donations, $97,638 came from out of the district with about $1000 coming from out of State. Over $1000 came from Chris Russo. As was posted before:

Chris Russo. (More on Chris below) Director of Texans for Strong Borders. Was seen chauffeuring Fuentes to and from the meeting at Pale Horse Strategies this month. Multiple people, who asked not to be named to avoid drawing the attention of white nationalists, told the Tribune that Russo has ties to Fuentes’ so-called “groyper” movement.

Bowen also has a $50,000 outstanding loan. There are better choices for House District 129. Do your own research.

Cartel Member Running for Congress?

January 18, 2026

What the living f***?

Alex Mealer, formerly known as Alexandria Del Moral Mealer, is running for Texas Congressional District 9. She is pictured here dressed up like a cartel member. Like a tough guy. Macho. This pic is from her TV ad. She is running against State Representative “Little Baby” Briscoe Cain. Both of them are gun nuts. Both have little regard for those killed by gun violence including the 19 children killed in Uvalde. It is sickening but this is the republican shoot first, forget later, party.

Mealer ran against Lina Hidalgo back in 2022 and lost by a slim margin. Mattress MAGAt Mac spent millions trying to get her elected. After losing, as many republicans did she whined and sued. And lost. So now she is going to run as a cartel member. There are better candidates to vote for. Go do your own research.

It’s Officially Over. La Marque Recall Fails. Legal Action May Follow

January 17, 2026

Don’t hold your breath for Councilman Lowry to file a suit against the city. He is like a constipated two year old. He can’t do shit.

The Chicken Little of La Marque Texas has failed. Womp Womp. The Galveston County News had an excellent article about the failed recall of the Mayor. If you can, take a few minutes to read it, but let me summarize. Lowry is blaming the City Clerk for not giving him enough signature sheets. He had plenty and wasn’t able to even fill those up. He is blaming the city and threatening a lawsuit as I posted earlier, demanding 100 billion dollars. (actually it is $750,000) He acknowledged the recall effort failed. According to the article:

Lowry late Tuesday had not provided documentation supporting his allegation of criminal conduct. The city clerk had not been charged with any offense, and no law enforcement agency had announced an investigation related to the matter.

So now what? Lowry ain’t going to sue anyone for anything. If he does he will have to go through a process called discovery and disclose all of his so called “evidence” of the crimes the Mayor committed as Lowry claimed on the recall petition. Lowry ain’t that stupid. If he is and does file suit then his 5 years of undercover investigative journalism against the Mayor will finally pay off, for everyone but Lowry. It will probably show he was passing around false information on the petition, possibly a felony offense. But don’t hold your breath. He has made threats before and hasn’t done shit. Much like Chicken Little yelling “The sky is falling” Lowry is yelling “Criminal Activity”.

Lowry is now in deflection mode and has resorted to posting pictures of himself with wads of cash, cash he could have used to pay his damn taxes and liens by the IRS, the State, and the City.

Councilman Threatens Legal Action against La Marque Residents

January 11, 2026

This is getting old.

La Marque City Councilman Joseph Lowry, AKA Chicken Little, is at it again. According to Lowry he has been running in circles for 5 years exposing criminal activity, bribes, cabal-ing, yada yada and yet like a constipated two year old he ain’t doing shit. Now he is threatening a lawsuit against the citizens of La Marque because he needs a distraction from his failed recall petition.

Lowry has posted a confidential pre-suit notice to social media. (so much for being confidential) It looks like an AI generated legal document. He is good at using AI. He makes claims about the City Clerk, the Mayor, and others claiming civil rights violations, yada, yada. He is demanding restitution of $750,000 from the citizens of La Marque. It’s hard to read. It makes you want to sit back and tell Chicken Little to cluck off and STFU. Seriously. This is embarrassing. Hell I’m embarrassed for writing about it.

This pre-suit is about Lowry’s failed attempt at obtaining enough signatures for a petition to recall the Mayor. Lowry has until Tuesday to submit his petitions for the County to verify. As I said earlier he has probably failed and is now looking for a scapegoat. I doubt he will make his petitions public for the citizens of La Marque to see, but if he files suit he will be forced to submit to discovery. If you want to waste some time you can read the entire document at The Mark, a Facebook page documenting Lowry’s daily stupidity. I suggest doing something more productive like eating day old sushi at your local gas station.

The City Council meeting on Monday ought to be interesting.

Did the La Marque Mayor Recall Fail?

January 9, 2026

La Marque’s Chicken Little is clucking mad!

La Marque City Councilman Joseph Lowry might have failed to obtain enough signatures to force a recall of the Mayor and he is madder than a wet hen. Mr. Chicken Little went to social media to blame the City Clerk claiming he wasn’t given enough signature sheets. These sheets cannot be copied and must be obtained from the city and have a city stamp.

According to a whiny ass video, Mr. Little posted to Facebook, the clerk gave him enough petition sheets for 750 signatures. (I thought he only needed about 500 signatures) He now claims he asked for more and she refused. Of course he claims she is a “criminal”. He claims he whined to the police and they wouldn’t take any action. He then starts whining about the tax increases and some other crap once again calling everyone a criminal including the Mayor, Council Members, and the Clerk. He even starts blaming the District Attorney’s office and demands action. The video is 6 minutes of red faced stupidity. He might want to check his blood pressure.

I wouldn’t trust Mr. Little’s word. He is probably just trying to blame someone else for his stupid stunt that probably has failed miserably. I bet he obtained less than 100 signatures. Of course he can make the signature sheets public record to prove that I am full of wit but you have a better chance of Lowry passing up a donut shop without stopping.

The City Clerk needs to tell Chicken Little to cluck off. Lowry was last seen running around in circles, flapping his arms and yelling about someone being a criminal.

Texas Insurance Commissioner to Retire in February

January 8, 2026

According to the Texas Department of Insurance the Commissioner, Cassie Brown, will be retiring in 2026. She held the position after only 4 years and will leave the state in a horrible situation with rates skyrocketing across the state especially in the Bay Area. Brown was appointed by Governor Abbott. She will leave her position on February 2. Abbott will appoint a new one to serve until the election in November.

Brown was the speaker for the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce back in the Summer.

After telling the business community how wonderful the TDI has protected the consumer from the rising cost of insurance and explaining why rates are so high, she left the stage, took no questions, and quickly left the building. Many in the crowd were not  happy especially those at my table.

Insurance on all levels will be on the ballot this November. We need to demand action from our candidates. I have made it clear that this insurance issue is NOT a political issue. It affects all of us no matter what side of the aisle you are on. It affects owners, businesses, schools, insurance agents, realtors, and others.

It’s not a political issue but only our politicians can address this and if our elected officials refuse to address the problem, then we need new politicians. Elections are coming in November of 2026. Know who is running and vote your pocket book and your values. Demand all  candidates running for office address the issue with their plans to solve the problem.

Who’s Running to Representative the Bay Area in Austin?

January 8, 2026

There are two Republicans running in the Texas House District 129 primary who will face a Democrat in November. I’ll cover the Republicans today.

For the last 10 years the Bay Area has been represented by State Representative Dennis Paul. The cost of living in the Bay Area has skyrocketed with insurance rates going out the roof including home, auto, and healthcare. Paul, who sat on the Insurance Committee, did nothing to curb the increases. He is now running for State Senate. We deserve better.

Scott Bowen. CCISD voters probably remember former CCISD Trustee Scott Bowen. They voted him out of office last year and the district has been better for it. He brought division, chaos, and bigoted attacks on parents, teachers and students. I have nothing good to say about Bowen. Not only does he wear suits 2 sizes too small, he is an awkward individual and has proven to be unable to govern or lead but he will be able to follow orders from Greg Abbott. He will do what he is told and nothing else. If elected I see Bowen going no where and providing no relief to us. He will simply take a knee to Abbott. (literally) Republicans in the Bay Area deserve better.

Robert Mitchell. I was taken back a bit when I saw Mitchell’s campaign sign advertising himself as a “Trump conservative”. I’m not sure if that is going to work in his favor but then again, WTF do I know, Republicans voted for him three times already! Unlike Bowen, Mitchell has the background to legislate. From his website:

Bob Mitchell, former president of the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, is a Republican candidate for Texas House. Bob is a strong conservative, trusted community and business leader, two-time Governor Abbott appointee, graduate of Dobie High School, and a proud lifelong resident of House District 129–the Bay Area of Houston encompassing parts of Clear Lake, El Lago, Friendswood, La Porte, League City, Nassau Bay, Pasadena, Pearland, Seabrook, Shoreacres, Taylor Lake Village, and Webster.

I have to agree. I don’t believe the business community is behind Bowen. If they were he would still be a CCISD Trustee but is that enough for Mitchell to win? I thought this race would be Conservatives vs MAGAts but his campaign signs make me think differently.

It would be nice if the real Conservatives would take back their party. Everyone in HD129 deserves better!

Who’s Running for Galveston County District Attorney

January 7, 2026

This will determine if Galveston County returns to law and order or continues the slide into lawlessness. In defense of Jennifer Ott I bet she had no idea who Joseph Lowry is and will probably treat him like a used diaper in the future.

Two individuals are running for Galveston County DA, Jennifer Ott and Kenneth Cusick. Cusick is currently the DA. He was appointed by Governor Abbott and is endorsed by Abbott. Jennifer Ott has an incredible resume for the job. You can review her resume here. Cusick also has an impressive resume. You can read that one here.

Cusick has support from Sheriff Fullen. Fullen has a history of breaking the law (documented at https://therealtruejimmyfullen.com) to the point that his law enforcement license was suspended. He also posted a fake $100,000 loan to his campaign finance report during his election. The ethics complaint filed against him was deemed to be “confidential” therefore the action the Texas Ethics Commission took against him is now secret. After the complaint Fullen simply filed an amended report without the loan. Yep, law and order my ass.

Again Ott has a very impressive resume especially her vision for Galveston County which focuses on integrity within the office. From her website:

Jennifer Ott believes the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office should be beyond reproach. There should never be a question as to what their ethical responsibility is to the Office and more importantly, the community and those involved in the legal system. When others see leaders making ethical decisions being transparent they are more likely to follow suit. Jennifer will implement comprehensive policies and procedures to reinforce ethical behavior. The community, whether it is the citizens, law enforcement, victims, defendants or law enforcement should never have to question whether the District Attorney’s Office is doing the right thing.

Cusick on the other hand is focused on the boogey man issues like immigration and “wokeness” (whatever that means). I doubt if he is really interested in immigration. If he was he would be going after all the businesses in Galveston County who employ those who might be here illegally like homebuilders and restaurants.

One thing I might suggest for these two is to be afraid of La Marque City Councilman Joseph Lowry. Be very afraid.

Happy Jan 6! For those who celebrate it.

January 6, 2026

Remember to get your flag, bear spray, and zip ties and show how much you appreciate law enforcement and law and order. Gather with other Republicans and watch the video below of the Jan 6 patriots singing the National Anthem. Be proud of what you support.
