La Marque’s Runoff, and Who They Ran Off

City Councilman Joe Compian and his challenger Sade Williams will be in a run off for La Marque City Council District B. Both received 56 votes. The runoff will be sometime in June. Compian, a sitting Councilman, only received 35% of the vote with 65% of all voters supporting someone else. The next election will be between two candidates, not four. This should concern Compian. If I was going to advise Compian I would tell him to put some distance between himself and Councilman Lowry. As I have said in the past Lowry and his wife are as popular as herpes at a hot tub party. Speaking of his wife…

La Marque has a runoff in June, but on May 2 voters ran off Sarah Lowry, the wife of Councilman Joseph Lowry. Lowry was a candidate for District D and was crushed by 53 points with 55 voters in District D voting for her. 55?!?!? Really? Getting runoff by 53 points is sad but getting 55 votes for someone with the baggage of her husband’s child like attitude is really sad!

But the good news is that Tonia Griffin returns to Council. Good luck to Compian and Williams in the runoff.
