Move over Justin Hicks! Councilman Tommy Cones is in the house.
League City has been fairly quiet ever since Justin Hicks resigned in spectacular fashion. But that changed last night at the Council meeting where Cones was criticized for posting a highly inappropriate AI pic of a constituent’s daughter. In fact the constituent spoke directly to Cones at the meeting and he was direct and respectful. I have never met League City Councilman Tommy Cones and I have no real need to do so but this is really low for someone who calls himself to be a “conservative”. Cones posted his pic on Facebook, refused to remove it, and then defended himself and his actions at the end of the meeting claiming it was all “politics”.
You would think a conservative would know better than to attack someone’s daughter, in public, and then not apologize. But that isn’t all Cones have done. His challenger, who is quite politically challenged himself, was at a polling location with Cones resulting in Cones calling the police claiming he was being called names. According to the audio Cones called the police while crying:
“He…he..he…won’t stop calling me names. I was so scared I pee-ed my panties!”
OK. That wasn’t exactly what he said, but you get the point. I can’t recommend voting for Cones challenger. I have no dog in the race.
