Happy Easter from Katy ISD!

This is what happens when you allow billionaires to meddle in public education. This is a post by a so called “christian”, a Mexican MAGAt, Morgan Calhoun, who was elected to the Katy ISD in 2023 with help from the oligarchs of Texas including local State Senator Money Mayes Middleton. According to the Katy Times a PAC called Texans for Educational Freedom financed the election of three members of the board. They all won. Morgan was one of those. The PAC raised $1.7 Million, with $1.5 Million coming from donors giving $10,000 or more. Middleton gave $50,000.

Morgan and I am assuming her husband are pretty proud of their pose with their guns, the type of guns used to slaughter 19 children in Uvalde. You would think they would be more sensitive to the situation. You would think they would be more “christian” especially on Easter Sunday. The pic has since been removed from her Katy ISD Instagram account.

I’m done. I’m switching parties.

It’s just to damn hard being a Democrat.

I’m done with the Democratic Party. I joined the party back in the early 90’s after learning the hard way that the Republican Party didn’t care about average Texans. At the time I had a serious defect in my new home and looked to the party for help. LOL. That turned me into a consumer advocate fighting for others who were in the same situation.

But I’m tired of fighting for everyone who won’t fight for themselves. I’m tired of fighting for our teachers when they won’t even bother to vote and when they do they vote against their own interests. I’m tired of fighting for the immigrants legally seeking asylum while many in the Hispanic community have become Mexican MAGAts. I’m tired of fighting for homeowners who have seen their home insurance and electricity bills skyrocket and yet they vote for the very people who are responsible for it.

I’m tired of supporting families who have been devastated by gun violence then watching as they vote for Greg Abbott, the very person who has flooded our streets with guns.

It’s time to switch parties. I want to sit back, live my life, carefree, without having to worry about immigrants, teachers, survivors of gun violence, the gay community, our police, consumers, the rule of law, democracy, and the Constitution. I want to sit back and just vote for trump like a brain dead fucking moron. It’s just so easy to do. I don’t need to “do my own research”. I just need to mind my own fucking business, go with the flow, and be the best fuckin moron I can be. Fuck everyone else. I’m done with you.

CCISD Trustee Scott Bowen’s buddies on women’s rights

Yep. This is who he is associating with.

Once again the True Texas Project is in the news with a leaked video from a meeting in Granbury at a True Texas Project event. The speaker is Paul Brown, the Director of Policy and Operations of a fringe group called “Abolish Abortion Texas.” This is the extreme far right group Scott Bowen spoke at last week. They have advocated for succession, against the gay community, among other things.

I’ve been critical of Bowen ever since he was linked to the white supremacist Nick Fuentes, Defend Texas Liberty, and Texans for Strong Borders. Go ahead and look Fuentes up. I’ve detailed Bowen’s association with them and have spoken at the school board meeting addressing this issue. Take a minute to review his association with True Texas Project here.

In the leaked video, Brown calls for:

  • The banning of IVF. 
  • The prohibition of emergency contraception. 
  • The ban of some forms of birth control, like IUDs. 
  • Capital punishment for women who have abortions. 
  • Capital punishment for doctors who perform abortions.

It’s Fucking Friday: Law and Order my ass.

They can’t claim to be the part of “law and order” without laughing.

How fucking stupid are republican voters in Texas? Seriously. It’s a pretty damn valid question. Their party claims to be the party of law and order yet the Texas Attorney General, the top cop of the state, Ken Paxton just settled a decades long felony suit against him. He continues to be involved in a civil suit concerning what he was impeached for which could end up costing him millions. The voters in the Republican Party had great choices to replace him in the primary including a former Supreme Court Justice but they voted for the fucking cock-eyed crook.

Don’t ever say you are the party of law and order. Most of us are not in a mindless cult. We saw what happen on January 6 on the e-lectronic TeeVee set. It’s on video. We watched as the party of law and order beat up police, sprayed them with bear spray, and assault the United States Capital. Police were killed. A cult member was killed, yet all Trump did was watch it on TV for 3 fuckin hours.

Locally elected officials refuse to pay their $40,000 fines to the Texas Ethics Commission yet they sit on the Harris County Department of Education. We have City Council members who do not live in the city and yet they are sitting members of council.

Your lord and savior, Donald Trump, has been indicted by 4 grand juries on 91 felony counts and yet you think you are the party of “law and order”. We aren’t stupid.

But someone is. Law and order my ass.

The Ten Commandments….According to Trump

I’m going to hell for this.

Trump is hawking bibles during Holy Week. So I thought it would be appropriate to post the Ten Commandments according to your lord and savior Donald Trump. If you are a christian and you are not outraged about what Trump is doing you might want to go back to church and ask for forgiveness.

The Ten Commandments. According to Trump:

  • You shall have no other God’s before me, except for me, Trump.
  • Thou shall not make idols, except for me, Trump.
  • Thou shall not take the lords name in vain goddamnit.
  • Remember the Sabbath to keep it holy unless you have a MAGAt rally to attend.
  • Honor your father and your mother as my son, Darrel, does.
  • Thou shall not commit murder unless you are on 5th street in New York
  • Thou shall not commit adultery unless it’s with a 20 year old porn star and you can pay her off to keep her goddamn mouth shut.
  • Thou shall not steal unless its from veterans, the poor, your donors, or your followers who donated to the stupid wall
  • Thou shall not lie. LOL
  • Thou shall not covet unless you need a loan.

Thous shall not lie. ROTFL. Seriously. That is fuckin funny. Let’s us prey.

League City Council rejects their own new flag design

It’s as if they are tired of beating up on librarians.

Who knew there was an organization that provides guidance on principles of a proper flag design. Apparently there is. The North American Vexillological Association. According to NAVA:

The North American Vexillological Association is an international, non-profit, scholarly organization dedicated to vexillology, the study of flags and their cultural, historical, political, and social significance.  It is the largest association of its kind in the world.  NAVA advances vexillology as a social science. It does not participate in the patriotic promotion of any particular flag.

So according to the Galveston Daily News in 2023 someone offered to help redesign the flag to adhere to the 5 basic principles of flag design established by NAVA.

The Five Principles are:

  1. Keep It Simple.  The flag should be so simple that a child can draw it from memory.
  2. Use Meaningful Symbolism.  The flag’s images, colors, or patterns should relate to what it symbolizes.
  3. Use 2 or 3 Basic Colors.  Limit the number of colors on the flag to three which contrast well and come from the standard color set.
  4. No Lettering or Seals.  Never use writing of any kind or an organization’s seal.
  5. Be Distinctive or Be Related.  Avoid duplicating other flags, but use similarities to show connections.

The designs above all failed to win the vote of City Council so no new flag and librarians have been put on notice.

Texas Conservatives rally against Ken Paxton

“He’s gone too far.”

Republicans across Texas are outraged over the latest attack on personal freedoms. Paxton has filed lawsuit after lawsuit limiting women’s reproductive rights, their rights to travel, and immigrant rights who legally enter the country but yesterday he went too far.

According to the Houston Chronicle Paxton is now limiting access to website across the State with an all out internet ban. Many Republicans are outraged by the micromanaging by Paxton and limiting their 1st Amendment rights. As one said “What I do in my bedroom or bathroom is none of Paxton’s business!”.

According to the Houston Chronicle Paxton has sued a number of companies causing them to cut off access to their sites in the State. Porn sites like Pornhub have been accused of not verifying the age of horny kids. Conservatives are pissed including other elected officials. “You can ban books. You can ban women’s reproductive rights. You can ban illegal immigration, but you, Sir, have gone too far! The next time I see Ken Paxton I am going to beat him off with BOTH hands!”.

Conservatives. You just got to love them. Welcome to Satire Sunday.

KEEP: Katy Educational Excellence Partners

This is encouraging!

KEEP is an organization in Katy dedicated to public education. Ten years ago we didn’t need organizations like this because most everyone had trust in our School Districts to do the right thing for students, teachers, and parents. Then the Scott Bowen’s of Texas began flooding our school board campaigns with partisan candidates and money.

Here in CCISD Bowen brought partisan politics into the classroom and it’s happening all across Texas. Billionaires began donating money to candidates, excessive amounts such as $150,000 to win three seats on the Keller ISD board. They all won. School board elections should cost, at most, $5000. $50,000 per candidate is obscene. Here in CCISD Bowen invited Defend Texas Liberty to participate in our school board elections. They are funded by two billionaires and was recently defunded after their leadership met with a known white supremacist. Their candidate lost.

Keller ISD Trustee purging records

When you don’t like what people are saying to you, simply delete the records.

I doubt anyone at CCISD would do something this stupid, well, maybe Scott Bowen, but no one else. Keller ISD is continuing their investigation into how a Dutch evangelical film crew was allowed into a high school without authorization from the School Board. The board member who gave them access to the school immediately resigned to spend more time with their attorney and several others are being asked to resign for their role in the scandal including Trustee Micah Young.

After the event was exposed Trustee Micah Young posted an apology to his Keller ISD Facebook page and was hammered by hundreds calling for his resignation. After nearly 600 comments with the overwhelming number calling for his resignation he simply deleted the apology and the comments.

There could be a problem with this. If he is using his page as part of his position (he is) then he must preserve the data under the Texas Open Records Act. Luckily the Texas Attorney General’s office is sympathetic to those who break the law so I doubt if they will take action but those filing a civil suit might be interested.

CCISD Trustee to speak at anti-government extremist group

True Texas Project has been listed as one of 15 hate and anti-government groups in Texas. This list includes the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, Mom’s for Liberty, and Patriot Front a white supremacist group. This local chapter was banned from holding meetings at the Webster Presbyterian Church after the elders learned of their background.

So Scott Bowen, a CCISD Trustee is going to be their speaker tonight. The meeting is open to everyone so it should be very interesting. True Texas Project attempted to hold a forum for League City Council candidates but it was cancelled due to lack of interest by the candidates. At least they know better than Scott.

Last August True Texas Project hosted Chris Russo. Who is Chris Russo? Glad you asked. From a previous post about Scott Bowen affiliation with Russo:

Chris Russo. (More on Chris below) Director of Texans for Strong Borders. Was seen chauffeuring [Nick] Fuentes [known white supremacist] to and from the meeting at Pale Horse Strategies this month. Multiple people, who asked not to be named to avoid drawing the attention of white nationalists, told the Tribune that Russo has ties to Fuentes’ so-called “groyper” movement. 

Scott and Russo are buddies. Again from a previous post:

This is truly strange coincidence. Russo, Cheshire, and Bowen graduated from Texas A&M. All three were on the Student Senate together. Russo was the President of the Senate the year right after Bowen. Cheshire co-authored a bill concerning the Gay Community at Texas A&M on religious freedom grounds. Russo and Cheshire are directors for Texans for Strong Borders, an anti-immigrant PAC primarily funded by Defend Texas Liberty. Russo is listed as the Treasurer with an address in El Lago.

This is who Scott Bowen is associating with. The Texas Tribune wrote an extensive set of articles on all of these individuals. I spoke at a CCISD board meeting calling on Bowen to disavow these organizations and to return the $2000 contribution he received from Defend Texas Liberty. So now he is going to speak at one of these organizations.
