And…..this is how to respond to racist comments by elected officials

January 16, 2022

Cy-Fair ISD Trustee Scott Henry, who was endorsed by the Harris County Republican Party, made racist comments at his first school board meeting. He has now lost his job with a software company out of California. From KHOU:

CYPRESS, Texas (KTRK) — The Cypress Fairbanks ISD trustee at the center of a viral video in which he linked Black teachers to poor school performance is out of a job, according to Splunk.

Splunk, which is an IT company, shared the news of Scott Henry no longer being an employee in response to a tag on Twitter.

Henry could have immediately issued a statement sincerely apologizing for his comments and he could have been spared but he had another problem. Turns out his social media account was chock full of divisive comments. He has since cancelled all of his accounts.

And he has since been cancelled from his job.

Trump SausageFest coming to Montgomery County Texas!

January 15, 2022

If you are wondering where all the racist republicans of Montgomery County will be, wonder no more! A SausageFest is coming! I bet Greg Abbott will be busy doing something other than attending. Maybe he will be kicking a puppy.

When you tolerate racism in elected officials. Cy-Fair ISD Trustee Scott Henry

January 13, 2022

Remember Houston City Council Member Greg Travis? He was the one that quit all of his committee assignments leaving the work to his colleagues. He then quit to run for State Representatives. He was also under fire for making racist comments with many asking him to resign. City Council eventually took no action and he is now running for higher office.

Cy-Fair ISD Trustee Scott Henry, who was endorsed by the Harris County Republican Party, is following in the footsteps of Greg Travis claiming that a more diverse teacher population leads to lower performance. “The more black folk the worse the grades are.” Ok, he didnt say it in that way but from the Houston Chronicle:

“Do you know what the statewide percent is for Black teachers? 10 percent. Houston ISD, which I’ll use to shine an example, you know what their average percentage of Black teachers is? 36 percent. I looked that up. You know what their dropout rate is? 4 percent. I don’t want to be 4 percent. I don’t want to be HISD. I want to be a shining example. I want to be the district standard. I want to be the premium place where people go to be.”

Well he should of just said “The more black folk the worse the grades are.” because that is what he said. Mayor Turner, County Judge Hidalgo and others have called for him to resign. And he should. This is an opportunity to make a huge statement to any closet racist.

And present them from ever running for office again.

What republicans really think about teachers. (They said it out loud)

January 11, 2022

Michael Quinn Sullivan is a kingpin of the Texas Republican Party. Like trump he “tells it like it is” but unfortunately he did it publicly, as in out loud. What Greg Abbott says in his inside voice Sullivan just states what the party really thinks about public education and our Texas teachers. Greg Abbott and other leaders of the party are silent because it is hard to distance yourself from the actual beliefs of your party.

Maybe this will finally convince teachers that the Republican Party isn’t their friend and maybe, just maybe, they will stop voting for the damn idiots.

Take politics out of CCISD!

January 10, 2022

It doesn’t matter what party you belong to or if you even belong to a political party. The kids of CCISD deserve board members who are concerned about education, believes in science, accounting, math, and can display common sense when making decisions. Political stupidity needs to be taken out of the CCISD board.

Raising Campaign Cash: Scott Bowen CCISD Trustee

January 4, 2022

Scott Bowen is up for re-election. He is the lead for the Qanon takeover of CCISD.

During his last election Scott raised $12,371 which, in political terms, is a shit load of money for a school board race. But….$7936 came from his own pocket, with $7000 coming in the form of a personal loan. He raised another $4158 from contributions plus $277 in an in-kind donation.

$1000 of his contributions came from a candidate for Texas House in Corsicana, Thomas McNutt, an extreme right wing candidate who lost in the primary to a more extreme right wing candidate.

Bowen has reported $5529 in unpaid expenditures.

Tx Gov Greg Abbott advises parents of school kids on COVID: Don't Look Up.

January 3, 2022

Greg Abbott’s lack of leadership on the COVID crisis is simply breath taking.

After the epic mismanaging of the COVID crisis Greg Abbott has only one option when it comes to advising parents when returning their kids to school, don’t look up. Just keep your head in the sand, don’t believe the statistics, don’t believe the doctors, and whatever you do do not believe the experts. Just send your kids back to school and let’s see what happens.

Greg Abbott had a once in a century opportunity to lead Texas through this crisis. All he had to do was to listen to the experts in the field, watch the statistics, and work with the leaders of the community to keep our state open while doing it responsibly. Instead he followed trump and politicized the crisis pitting Texans against Texans. Based upon stupidity he tied the hands of County Commissioners, Mayors, and School Boards prohibiting them from taking action to protect their community and kids in school based upon science and the experts in the field.

Because of Greg Abbott’s childish stupidity 76,000 Texans have lost their lives. He may not be responsible for all of the deaths but he contributed to it. All he had to do was to lead, listen to the experts, and act like a gdamn adult.

He didn’t. Just like trump.

Raising Campaign Cash: Christine Parizo for CCISD

January 2, 2022

Christine Parizo unsuccessfully ran for the CCISD board, losing by 25 points and demanding multiple recounts that cost the district. The recounts confirmed her massive loss.

Parizo raised about $4700 with a $1000 donation from Jeffery Lafleur from Great Falls Virginia, home of the Loundoun County Public School District. Eric Williams, the current CCISD Superintendent, comes from the Loudoun School District. Parizo has no love for him. Jeffery probably doesn’t either. Parizo also received $400 from the Citizens for CCISD PAC funded by State Representative Money Mayes Middleton.

Current CCISD Trustee, Scott Bowen donated $769 in an in kind donation. Norman Pappou donated $310, and Justin Hicks, a League City Council Member, donated $650, both in-kind donations.

Parizo loaned herself $2000. Did I mentioned she lost by 25 points?

Texas State Representative "Money" Mayes Middleton brags about endorsement from a known racist

January 1, 2022

From Reform Austin

From Reform Austin:

“Honored to have received the endorsement of President Donald Trump in my race for Texas Senate!” said Middleton “President Trump is continuing his work to elect conservative Republicans across America. I look forward to continue fighting for our values in the Texas Senate.”

Money Mayes Middleton values the endorsement from Trump, the most racist president the United States has had. He doesn’t seem to have a problem with calling people “Pocahontas”, or calling Latinos “rapists” or siding with white supremacists. Money Mayes christian values doesn’t have a problem with porking a porn star while married, paying her off to keep her mouth shut, and then lying about it to get elected. Money Mayes christian values doesn’t seen to have a problem with constantly lying, making fun of the disabled, cheating people out of their hard earned money, or leading an insurrection against the government.

Money Mayes claims to be a “conservative” but he isn’t. He is a republican. There is a HUGE difference between a conservative and a republican.

2021 The year in review

December 31, 2021

Trump supporters kill 5 at the Jan 6 failed coup attempt. That was the year in review. Nothing else matters.
