NOTE: The Harris County Democratic Party has changed their mind. The unqualified Jerry Garcia will still be on the ballot and the votes will be counted.

I’ve reached out to Constable Diaz but did not hear back from him.

Constable Chris Diaz had a strange challenger, his wife’s cousin, Jerry Garcia. What made it even stranger Garcia had absolutely no experience in law enforcement. None. Zero. Zip. And to top it off the other challenger to Constable Diaz was also named Jerry Garcia! The second Garcia is actually a Lt in the Constable’s office. He has a lifetime of law enforcement experience. He is well qualified for the job unlike Diaz’s cousin.

Unqualified Garcia wasn’t actually running. He had no website. He wasn’t going to raise money. He didn’t appoint a treasurer. He wasn’t campaigning. And now, he has quit the race but not early enough to have his name removed from the ballot. Any votes he receives will not be counted but mission accomplished! Confusion has been created on the ballot.

Strange? Coincidence? Or was this a coordinated effort to confuse voters by Diaz, his cousin, and his wife? Not quite sure how we could determine this. Maybe a civil suit could do it?

Both Garcia’s will be on the ballot. The qualified Garcia will be on the top of the ballot as Lt. Jerry Garcia. Go vote for him if you live in that district.

I have written about the Real Justice PAC that is raising money (from one individual) to promote socialist candidates running in the Democratic Primary. From my previous post:

According to the Texas Ethics Commission Real Justice PAC has raised $298,050 with $200,000 coming from one individual, Cari Tuna from San Fransisco. Only $10,200 came from Texans, and only $600 came from Harris County.

The PAC is from California primarily funded by one individual. The latest report claims to have raised $54,759.15 but did not include the required information concerning who donated and their address. They also spent the exact same amount to two socialist candidates, Audia Jones running for District Attorney in Harris County and Jose Garza running for District Attorney in Travis County.

Garza has bragged about out raising his opponent on his last report. He raised $99,849 but that includes $29,489 from the PAC. Audia Jones received $20,076. Her reports have not yet posted on the Harris County website.

These are two candidates aligned with the Socialist Party running as Democrats in our primaries. This is a far left group based out of California trying to infiltrate our party. Can you imagine if one of these candidates won the primary and how the republicans would run against them?

Be prepared to hear the word “Socialist” over and over and over again. They should run in their own gdamn party.

There is a special election for House District 28 between Elizabeth Markowitz and Gary Gates. Here are the results of campaign funds per the Texas Ethics Commission:

Gary Gates is one of those guys who runs for office, over, and over, and over again. He is also very wealthy, wealthy like Texas Representative Money Mayes Middleton, Kathaleen Wall, or Tony Buzbee. 

It hasn’t worked for Gates in the past. In 2005 he began loaning himself money and spending from his own pocket in a race for State Senator District 18. He lost. In 2014 he ran again, this time loaning himself $1.7 Million. He lost. In 2016 be ran for Railroad Commissioner loaning himself about $4.5 Million. He lost. 

Gates is just another Tony Buzbee. Rich. Politically ignorant.

OMG. It’s Tony Buzbee all over again only worse.

Gary Gates is running for House District 28. Just like Tony Buzbee he is self financing his campaign with over $1 Million as of Dec 31. Like Buzbee he is a Trump loving republican but unlike Buzbee he has some extra ugly baggage. From the Texas Tribune:

Forward Majority’s spot is based on accusations that CPS staffers made against Gates and his wife, Melissa, after the agency removed the couple’s 13 children — 11 adopted — from their Houston-area home in 2000, saying the kids were in “immediate danger.” A few days later, a judge sent the children back home — but he was disturbed by the claims, the Houston Press reported at the time, and emphasized he was only seeking to determine whether the “emergency removal was appropriate, not whether these children have been abused.”

13 children? Besides this latest tidbit, Gates is just one of many republicans buying their way into office. Money Mayes Middleton spent $2.5 Million to win a House seat in Galveston. Kathleen Wall spent $6 Million just to come in 3rd place. She is doing it again in CD22. Others include Angela Paxton, Patrick Fallon, Joan Huffman, Matthew Rinaldi (he quit), Don Huffines, and did I mention Tony Buzbee?
