Raising Campaign Cash: Greg Travis for State Representative

January 24, 2022

I don’t like former Houston City Councilman Greg Travis. His comment towards women are just gross and unbecoming of an elected official but then again, he probably voted for trump. He is a douche.

According to the Texas Ethics Commission Travis only raised $83,050 with $50,000 coming from his own pocket, $10,000 from John Poindexter and $5,000 from Tony Buzbee. (LOL). $6000 came from various PACs including $2500 from the Houston Police Officers Union.

Of the $33,050 he actually raised, $11,050 came from donors who gave $250 to $25.

From Community Impact:

The reprimand stemmed from a Dec. 29 Facebook post shared by Travis that compared Obama in a slouched pose to first lady Melania Trump sitting up straight. Travis continued, in comments that have since been taken down, by questioning Obama’s intelligence and attributing her acceptance to Harvard University to affirmative action. He also attributed Clinton’s success to her husband’s presidency rather than her own qualifications and said Harris received her position by engaging in improper romantic relationships.

And….I was mentioned.

Another caller, John Cobarruvias, who labeled himself as a conservative from Clear Lake, [LOL. I am certainly more conservative than most republicans] criticized those who defended Travis, a conservative representing the west Houston area, despite his comments.

“Racists across this country have faced no consequence for their actions, and now one has popped up on City Council,” Cobarruvias said. “This is personal to me. Unfortunately we had an individual come into my yard and make racist comments toward my neighbor. … This individual was empowered by the lack of action taken by those who had blown racist dog whistles in the past.”

Raising Campaign Cash: Sid "The C*nt" Miller for Texas Agriculture Commissioner

January 23, 2022

Even Greg Abbott thinks referring to a woman as a “cunt” is reprehensible. From the Dallas Observer:

Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who has endorsed Donald Trump, condemned the tweet in a release. “The language is reprehensible and is an embarrassment. No true Texas gentleman would ever talk this way,” Abbott said.

Yeah right. Abbott endorsed a rotten human being who porked a porn star and mocked a disabled American. I am waiting to hear trump make fun of Abbott for running under a tree that was being cut down resulting in his own disability. Referring to anyone as a “cunt” is reprehensible but in the case of Sid Miller, it is well deserved.

According to the Texas Ethics Committee The Cunt raised $126,000, $116,000 from 28 donors who gave between $1000 and $10,000. He also loaned his campaign $200,000.

Sid Miller, like Trump is a rotten human being. Prior to 2016 anyone who used this slur towards a woman would have been run out of the state. Now it is a badge of honor for many Texans, including his donors.

Raising Campaign Cash: Eva Guzman for Texas Attorney General

January 23, 2022

Eva Guzman has served the business community well on the Texas Supreme Court and they are showing their appreciation by financing her campaign for Texas Attorney General. Wanna guess who she will be representing if she becomes AG? Anyone? Anyone?

According to the Texas Ethics Commission Texans (Businesses) for Eve Guzman raised $4,728,558 from 846 donors. 24 donors accounted for 70% of all donations for a total of $3,300,000. Common, everyday, hard working Texans who donated $50 or less accounted for $5400 or about .0011%. 678 donors gave between $1000 and $1 for a total of $181,353 or .038% of the total raised.

76 donors of $10,000 or more accounted for 89% of all her donations totaling $4,207,000.

Hiding Campaign Cash: Ken Paxton, Attorney General of Texas

January 21, 2022

I wrote about Lee Merritt who is running for Texas Attorney General who raised over $183,000 in unitemized donations which in political terms is a shitload of cash donations. Who gave him cash donations that totaled over $183,000? We will never know.

But Ken Paxton has hidden over $2MILLION in unitemized, untraceable, donations! According to the Texas Ethics Commission Paxton raised a total of 2,769,969.34 with $2,117,755 in unitemized donations. That means just like Merritt we will never know where that infusion of cash came from. Did State Representative Money Mayes Middleton give out $50 in cash to 40,000 individuals who then gave it to Paxton? We will never know.

Of the $652,213 that he itemized $393,000 came from only 24 individuals including one donation of $100,000 by Michael Porter.
Ken Paxton, shown here in his booking mugshot, is a crook. Just a Texas sized, rotten, crook.

Raising Campaign Cash: State Representative "Money" Mayes Middleton

January 21, 2022

State Representative Money Mayes Middleton is running for the Texas Senate. He has a bunch of suckers donating to his campaign.

According to the Texas Ethics Commission Money Mayes only raised $35,523 from a bunch of suckers including the Galveston County Tax Accessor, Cheryl Johnson who gave him $1000. A total of 101 gullible suckers gave Money Mayes anywhere from $5000 to $5.00. He doesn’t need it.

Money Mayes reported a total of $1,685,523. $1,650,000 came from his own deep pockets. Money has own money to spend and has become the sugar daddy of the district. He will probably set up a fund to put another Qanon republican on the CCISD school board. His challengers for SD11 hasn’t raised any money to speak of. Robert Mitchell President of the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership only raised $1000 and Bianca Gracia raised only $29,000 most coming from in-kind donations.

Mitchell represents the true conservatives of the Republican Party and would have been a reasonable Senator. Unfortunately Money Mayes will smother the shit out of him with his unlimited pockets.

Raising Campaign Cash: Louie Gohmert for Texas Attorney General

January 21, 2022

Louie Gohmert is one f*cked up individual. Louie Gohmert, the Qanon insurrectionist of the United States Congress, has a couple of really good Q friends include State Representative Money Mayes Middleton.

According to the Texas Ethics Commission Gohmert raised $1,003,891. 95% of his contributions came from 20 donors. 1/3 of his donations, $300,000 came from State Representative Money Mayes Middleton from Galveston, $250,000 From State Representative Matt Krause, $180,000 from RH Seale, and $100,000 from Save Texas Now (Lynn Lasher).

224 donors donated from $1.35 to $3000 for a total of $47,891. Without the deep pockets of Money Mayes and the others who donated more than 10,000, Louie only raised $88,691.

Raising Campaign Cash: Save Texas Now

January 20, 2022

From The Houston Chronicle

If you are wondering who paid for mailers for the HISD Qanon candidates, look no more.

Save Texas Now is a PAC with treasurer Angela M. Box living at 2626 Fountain View Dr. #451. Save Texas Now raised $128,832 mainly from one person, Lynn Lasher, CEO of Somebody’s Mother’s Chocolate Sauce LLC. Lynn donated $100,000 and $$19,872.35. The remainder coming from a few donations.

Save Texas Now, or Lynn Lasher, paid $19,872.35 for a HISD runoff mailer. Save Texas Now, or Lynn, then donated $100,000 to Louie Gohmert for Texas Attorney General. Lynn seems like a wonderful MAGAt.

Raising Campaign Cash: State Representative Dennis Paul HD129

January 20, 2022

Dennis doesn’t seem to be too smart when it comes to fundraising.

According to the Texas Ethics Commission he only raised $61,870. 60 donors provided $49,760 of this total with an average of $843 per donor. 109 donors provided just $11,730 donating between $18 and $350 for an average of $107 per donor.

For someone who can easily cruz to victory Paul seems to enjoy wasting his donors money. Of the $61,870 raised he spent $32,516 on ads, $12,780 on Overhead, and $6798 on fundraising expenses for a total of $52,094 leaving him a balance of $13,367 Cash On Hand with a looming $111,000 loan.

Lucky for him he has no serious challenger.

NOTE: Dennis is a suck up. He likes wearing his ill fitting NRA hat at the polls as if that will get him any more votes. Last year he took a trip to Washington DC and stayed at the Trump Hotel.

Suck up.

Raising Campaign Cash: Joe Jaworski for Attorney General

January 20, 2022

Joe Jaworski is the former Mayor of Galveston, Texas and is running for Texas Attorney General.

Joe has been campaigning since July 2020 and has raised $1,193,717 to date.

Raising Campaign Cash: Rochelle Garza for Attorney General

January 20, 2022

Rochelle began her quest for office by filing for Congress, raised some money, then switched to the Texas Attorney General race. She is a young civil rights attorney from Brownsville, Texas.

According to Texas Ethics Reports Rochelle raised $111,419. $35,225 came from her congressional campaign. Of that $12,666 was in the form of in-kind donations from Rochelle for Congress with $22,559 coming in the form of donations.

Not counting the $35,225 from her previous campaign, $57,694 came from Texas donors.
