Kathaleen Wall ran in the Republican primary for Congressional District 2 in 2016. She donated $800,000 to Gov Abbott who has endorsed her. She invested $6 Million of her own money into her own campaign, raising only $10,000 from others. And she lost, and lost bad. She came in 3rd place. Buying an election has become a campaign strategy for republicans much like Money Mayes Middleton who spent $2.5 Million of his own money to win a House seat.
Now Wall is trying to buy the primary for CD22, a seat abandoned by Congressman Pete Olson. Much like CD2 we should expect a huge amount of money to be spent on ads showing she is the best Trump supporter in the race, and the most loaded candidate with guns and money.
Kathaleen Walls stands with trump and is loaded. What could possibly go wrong with that strategy?
Dallas citizens and police were lucky. In Texas Governor Abbott signed a bill to allow open carry which includes carrying loaded assault rifles like the Dallas shooter did this past week. Luckily no one was injured besides the shooter. Abbott and the Republican Party believes dressing up in military outfits, wearing bullet proof vests, and holding loaded assault weapons with large capacity clips in public is necessary and is a right of all gun nuts across Texas. This is legal in Texas. So it shouldn’t be so shocking to anyone that a person like this can simply walk up to the building and start shooting. In 2016 Five officers were killed, and nine others and two civilians were injured during a shoot out at a Black Lives Matter protest. During this event people were carrying assault weapons which confused those who were providing security for the event. So how does any of this protect our Police Officers? Short answer. It doesn’t. What kind of idiot thinks carrying loaded assault type of weapons in public, dressed up like GI-Joe is necessary? How do we determine if this person is a law abiding gun nut and not a domestic terrorist? This is insanity. Law enforcement across the state was against this bill yet Abbott and company passed it anyway. Unfortunately the police across Texas continue to vote for them.
Leave it to Pete Olson and Brian Babin to support the Virginia Beach shooter.
Texas Congressmen Pete Olson CD22 and Brian Babin CD36 cosponsored House Bill 155 which would make buying a silencer as easy as buying a gun, which is pretty easy in the USA. The bill is called the “Hearing Protection Act” and would allow easy access to a silencer like the one the Virginia Beach shooter used to kill 12 Americans. Olson and Babin believe it is important to protect the victims hearing as they are shot to death.
Babin is in a 70/30 district and will easily win reelection but Pete Olson won in 2018 by only 3 points and the district is now a target for the Democratic Party. Easy access to a gun silencer is about as stupid as nominating Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize which both had sponsored. Currently the law allows silencers to be purchased but there are specific requirements and applications that must be met.
Making it easier is not in the best interests of the vast majority of Americans.
The republic party used to be filled with conservatives until the extreme far right followed trump and pushed them out. The party is now filled with racists, liars, white supremecists and just plain rotten aholes. These are truly horrible people.
Many conservatives are wondering if they really are conservative anymore. Here is a little help for you, Ask yourself if you support the republic party on the following issues:
Russia didn’t interfered in the 2016 elections even after the Special Counsel and the United States Intelligence community says they did and continue to do so

Calling political opponents names like a 8 year old

Texas House Bill 357 (get it? 357?) sponsored by Johnathon Stickland (R-Bedford) has been sent to the Homeland Security and Public Safety Committee. From Texas Scorecard:
Recently, State Rep. Jonathan Stickland (R–Bedford) filed a bill to allow permitless carry of a firearm, a Republican Party of Texas Legislative Priority, designating it House Bill 357. Conservatives and pro-gun Texans will recognize the bill number from the popular handgun caliber, .357 Magnum.
Get it? 357? Isn’t that just cute? HB357 is called “Constitutional Carry” and would allow anyone to open carry a gun without training, without a background check, and without a concealed handgun license. Stickland carried the bill for open carry allowing the open display of guns except in certain areas. It has had no effect on crime or prevention.
This bill is supported by the Texas Republican Party and has a few sponsors with no companion bill in the Senate. Discussions with local Representative’s staff shows little support in the Senate or the House. Hopefully this lack of interest will continue. Baby Briscoe Cain out of Deer Park and Mayes “Money” Middleton of Galveston have signed onto the bill. Both of these are from the far white wing of the republican party. Baby Briscoe is known for flashing his gun at the Texas Democratic Convention last summer and being escorted out. Money Middleton self financed his run for State House for a tune of $2.5 Million, with $2.25 Million coming from his own pocket.
Hopefully this bill will never see the light of day. It truly defies common sense. Here are the authors and sponsors:
After 58 Americans were gunned down with an assault weapon equipped with a bump stock in Las Vegas with hundreds more injured Trump will be signing an executive order banning the sale and ownership of the device on Friday. From NBC News:
“We are faithfully following President Trump’s leadership by making clear that bump stocks, which turn semiautomatics into machine guns, are illegal, and we will continue to take illegal guns off of our streets,” Whitaker said.
Later, at a school safety event at the White House, he called it a “big victory” for Trump’s administration.
Better late than never. It only took trump a year to realize bump stocks should be off the market. He could have had a “big victory” by signing this order a year ago.
As of Friday bump stocks will no longer be sold in America and those who own the device will have 90 days to turn it in. Watch for the NRA to file a lawsuit. Next up: high capacity clips and assault weapons.

The Party of Trump is in no position to be running around calling for CIVILITY NOW! CIVILITY NOW!
Over the last three years the Republican Party has embraced, endorsed, and encouraged the behavior of Trump and has mimicked him to attack individuals and groups. Now after a single appearance on Saturday Night Live by one of their new Congressmen they are calling for civility. Really? REALLY? The Republican Party is the last group of people who should be calling for civility from anyone.
This is the party that mocked a disabled American. They have hurled and continue to hurl racist insults towards Latinos, African Americans, and others. They labeled our Muslims Americans as terrorists. They cheered while young brown children were separated from their parents and put into cages. Their women cheered while their leaders referred to them as C***s. They watched silently while their party leaders acted like rotten human beings using unfounded fears to win elections. They lied, over and over and over again on a daily basis. They have embraced every single conspiracy theory with no basis of facts whatsoever. They re-elected candidates who are mired in felony indictments. They mocked mothers who lost their children to gun violence. They trample on the rule of law especially those involved with Russia. And they have tolerated and endorsed those who continue to be lying, racist, law breaking, rotten human beings.
The Republican Party has no right to be calling for civility now. They have the right to shut up and learn how to be human again. They need to clean their own house, throw out the racists, mysogynists, liars, cheats, criminals, and rotten human beings and those who tolerate them from their ranks. Then, and only then, can they start yelling CIVILITY NOW! CIVILITY NOW!
Clean your own damn pig sty before asking your neighbors to tidy their house.

Guns on demand. As with his party he talks a tough game on background checks (only) but his party will not do anything. Other than that it is guns on demand for everyone. Want an Uzi? You got it!
Military spending. He supports Trump’s military build up and his attack on our allies.
Supports the tax cut. He supports the tax cut for the 2% which has cratered the deficit.
Supports cutting Social Security. In order to pay for the tax cuts he supports cutting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicare. All to appease the 2%.
Abortion. No surprises here.
Immigration. Supports building the wall, separating families, and trump’s immigration plans.
Religious discrimination. Believes in discriminating of those who have different religious beliefs. He calls it “Freedom”. The freedom to discriminate.
School Vouchers. He supports school vouchers allowing the rich to pick and choose their own schools.
Free Speech. He believes we are too “politically correct”. Whatever that means.
Healthcare. Yells SOCIALISM every chance he gets. He wants us to go back to the way it was before the Affordable Care Act. His positions have all been shown to be bad ideas and have never been implemented for good reasons. He basically has no idea of what he is talking about. Lucky for him and his family, they are covered for life by the US Military.
Doesn’t believe in climate change. Nothing to see here. Typical anti-science republican.
Crenshaw was given a great opportunity to look like a human being on Saturday Night Live. He made the best of it acting like he is the middle of the road, let’s come together, blah blah blah, type of guy. He isn’t.

The out going Harris County Judge, Ed Emmett, says the Harris County Republican Party needs a reboot after getting a boot shoved so far up their butt their breath will smell like Desenex for the next two years. Emmett waited a bit too long to finally speak up. I’m sure the HCRP is not interested in very pointed ideas coming from a former Republican but here are some ideas they might want to consider:
Dump Trump. You made a mistake in 2016. Trump has turned your party into a group of racist, lying, cheating, conspiracy theory, rotten assholes. That stench might be hard to wash off but wash you must.
Don’t be racist. It’s sad someone has to tell you not to be a racist. Racism is bad. Really, really, baaaaad. Not only should you not be a racist you should speak out against those who are., immediately and forcefully. Your party tolerates and condones racism. That must stop.
Stop acting like a bag of dicks. Seriously. Why do you have to praise people like Sid Miller the mini trump of the Texas Republican Party. Can’t you at least act as if you have the title “The Honorable” in front of your name?
Don’t call women the C word. Again. Why do we have to tell you this? You are not in Jr. High. Grow up and treat women with respect and call out those who don’t. If you are a republican woman who is condoning this type of behavior maybe a course on self esteem is warranted.
Stop suppressing the vote. Everyone citizen has the right to vote and should have the right to exercise that right. You act like you want to restrict voting by making it harder to register and harder to vote. Stop it.
Dump the NRA. They have become a boat anchor. Americans are tired of being shot. High school kids are rising up for this issue alone. You are on a long term losing path. Even the NRA was silent during this election. They are hurting you. No one is coming for your guns. Start acting like it.
Stop lying. No one is coming for our guns. There isn’t an invasion coming from the south. There is no voter fraud. There is no need for a voter ID. There were no WMDs. Stop lying to your party members.
Stop spending money. What the hell happened to the “Fiscally Conservative” party? Our country under republican rule now has a $1Trillion deficit just so your party could give your donors a huge tax cut.
Embrace health care. No one wants to mortgage their house to pay for treatment for their kids. Your health care plan has failed.
Stop saying “Conservative”. And finally, you are not conservative. Stop saying your are. You no longer have conservative or family values. As I have said before:
Conservatives do not mock the disabled. They don’t create massive out of control deficits. They don’t make jokes about those dying of cancer. They don’t violate or ignore the laws of our country. They don’t tolerate sexual abuse. They don’t tolerate family violence. They don’t interrupt people while talking. They don’t call people names. They don’t say racist things. They don’t refer to Native Americans as “Pocahontas” They don’t make fun of other peoples language. They don’t call people of color “rapists”. They don’t call Muslims “terrorists”. They don’t endorse hate groups, the KKK, or white supremacy. They don’t disrespect elected officials even those they disagree with. They don’t lie. Every. Single. Day. They don’t walk around with loaded assault weapons in public.
