In his latest report Dick raised only $1,435 but he loaned himself $75,000 as well as spent $93,248 out of his own pocket. It’s a pattern for Dick. In 2015 he spent $74,652 out of his own pocket in his race for Houston City Council. His $75,000 investment didn’t work out very well. He lost.

Tony has a lot of money to dole out since he is self funding his campaign for Mayor for $10 Million. Most of that money is being spent out of state and there are a few interesting tidbits.

After seeking the endorsement of the Christian anti-gay group led by Steven Hotze, Buzbee denied it on a televised debate. Hotze withdrew the endorsement. Buzbee has donated $500 to the Gay Caucus in Houston. He likes to play both sides but easily gets caught doing it.

Buzbee likes to target the Mayor with baseless allegation of “pay to play” but Buzbee has his own type of pay to play. Buzbee donated $35,000 to Gary Polland the editor of Texas Conservative Review. Gary has now endorsed him. Imagine that.

In his 8 day out report Buzbee spent $2.5Million (of his own money) with $2.4 Million going out of state. $1.9 Million was paid to Axiom Strategies and AX Media with the same address in Kansas. $386,000 was paid to The Prosper Group in Indiana, $114,00 was paid to Madison McQueen in California. At least he has paid his grassroots services employee very well with $134,000 in the first two weeks of October.

Dick is pulling a Buzbee.

Eric Dick is on the Harris County Department of Education and as predicted has made a fool out of himself and his fellow republicans. He filed a complaint against fellow board member and fellow republican, Mike Wolfe, for sexual harassment. Dick also filed an ethics complaint against Wolfe for not reporting a $28,000 loan from Dick. Dick really doesn’t play well with others. See Dick speak:

The investigation clearly shows that Mike Wolfe is a pervert. He should resign immediately. If he refuses, I beg the County Attorney to file a law suit to remove him. It is unacceptable to serve as an elected official when you sexually harassed someone.” – Eric Dick

Bill King was called out in Kingwood for mailers that listed Democratic Precinct chairs as endorsing his campaign. On Aug 7th he apologized and claimed he would resend a corrected version. Instead 3 week later he did it again this time in Clear Lake. The Republican Party has a problem with telling the truth. It might be a mistake the first time around, but the second time is a campaign strategy. Lie. Lie like trump.

The Harris County Democratic Party has issued the following statement:

We stand behind these chairs in asking that all candidates conduct their campaigns with the utmost integrity and obtain consent before listing any HCDP Precinct Chair as a supporter.

As stated before, having a (R) behind your name when running for office is about as popular as herpes at a hot tub party. Based upon Bill King’s history of donations, voting history, and his endorsements, Bill King is a Republican (R).

Over the last few years King donated about $7000 to various republican organizations and individuals including Paul Bettencourt and the Coaltion for a Greater Houston which is no where to be found.  He donated $1500 to the Spring Branch Republicans, and $250 to the Kingwood Area Republican Women’s Club. It’s not a large amount of donations but it is in support of republicans.

He also donated to the Houston Realty Business Coalition which in 2018 endorsed every republican running in 2018. We expect that to continue in 2019. His voting record is very clear voting in the republican primary since 2006. King has also never been a friend of the LGBTQ community. So with all of that, it is pretty clear King is an (R) in a nonpartisan race.

At least he isn’t taking pictures and having fundraisers for Trump.
