There is only one race we need to be concerned about concerning the upcoming CCISD election.
Trustee Candidate, Peter Lauzon, does not need to be close to schools, parents, teachers, or children. There are just so many reasons to reject him including:
- He has no experience in education
- He couldn’t answer basic questions during the forum
- He is a former member of the Executive Committee of the Republican Party
- His wife is the VP of the local republican club
- He has been endorsed by extreme political groups
- He was recruited by Trustee Scott Bowen
- He is funded by 2 billionaires out of Dallas
- He is not a supporter of public education (seriously)
- He supports vouchers
- His beliefs about the gay community should disqualify him from running
- He is an election denier
- He has refused to answer questions about his positions or his campaign
- He has been caught on camera concerning divisive issues
- He has been caught on paper concerning divisive issues and public education
Why he is running if he has no interest in public education? It is clear Trustee Bowen recruited him so he could get a second on divisive issues and resolutions on the Board. He would be nothing but a mouthpiece for Scott. He is funded by one extreme organization from the Dallas area who gave him $5000. He is simply a partisan hack.
There is a better choice. If you want to keep partisan politics off the CCISD School Board, then take a moment to vote.

I know Peter Lauzon and his wife – they are educated people but are far to the right of almost everyone here in CCISD. They have an agenda that will put non-Christian students in a very uncomfortable place.
