One of Texas stupid sayings is “Everything is bigger in Texas”. It’s not true except we do have bigger cowards.

For example, the biggest coward in the State is Texas Senator Ted Cruz who fled to Cancun while his state was literally freezing to death. Following in his footsteps is our Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, running away like a scared little bitch. From The Texas Tribune:

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton fled his home in a truck driven by his wife, state Sen. Angela Paxton, to avoid being served a subpoena Monday, according to an affidavit filed in federal court.

That means he ran, like a coward. If Ken Paxton was at the battle of the Alamo he would have fought Ted Cruz to be the first to cross that line in the sand and run like a Texas sized coward. This is who they are.

BTW. I was in Canada last week. Every time a Canadian asked “Where you from?” and I responded with “Texas”, they gave me the look of “I’ll pray for you”. If I thought prayer actually worked, I would have joined them.

White Male MAGAt Republicans gather in Clear Lake to discuss women’s rights

Take a close look at the local “leaders” Dennis Paul was bragging about.

It’s a bunch of white guys including State Senator Elect Money Mayes Middleton, State Representative Little Baby Briscoe Cain, State Representative Dennis Paul, and other white male leaders of the area.

Leaders of the area could have included State Representative Mary Ann Perez or Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia, or State Senator Carol Alvarado but since they were talking about legislation for 2023 they wouldn’t have fit in.

Most probably the white folks were going to talk about limiting the rights of minorities to vote, again. All of them are election deniers and have bordered on Qanon conspiracy theories. They believe trump wasn’t the loser he really is. In fact Little Baby Briscoe was found in Philadelphia helping with the stop the steal bullshit and Money Mayes Middleton is funding some of the wackos pushing election fraud.

They are also probably talking about limiting women’s rights, as if there is more they can do, like banning birth control, or limiting rights based upon their perverted religious beliefs. Women leaders would just screw up this discussion.

And they are probably discussing how they can get guns into the hands of everyone, including high school students, at school. These guys are on the side of the NRA and will do whatever it takes to support guns and bullets over girls and boys. If a few dead school kids have not changed their minds on gun safety then nothing will.

Maybe they are talking about how they can call Homeland Security on all of the illegal workers in the restaurants in Clear Lake and have them deported to Colorado and have a good conservative laugh about it.

Dennis Paul is proud of the Khaos, Korruption, and Kruelty he is supporting. His picture speaks volumes.

  • They don’t play games with the lives of immigrants.
  • They respect the rights of women and young girls.
  • They don’t violate or ignore the laws of our country or international law.
  • They don’t praise those who storm the United States Capitol.
  • They don’t walk around with loaded assault weapons in public.
  • They don’t create massive out of control deficits.
  • They don’t make jokes about those dying of cancer.
  • They don’t tolerate sexual abuse.
  • They don’t send dick pics.
  • They don’t tolerate family violence.
  • They don’t interrupt people while talking.
  • They don’t call people names.
  • They don’t say racist things.
  • They don’t refer to Native Americans as “Pocahontas”
  • They don’t make fun of other peoples language.
  • They don’t call people of color “rapists”.
  • They don’t call Muslims “terrorists”.
  • They don’t endorse hate groups, the KKK, or white supremacy.
  • They don’t disrespect elected officials even those they disagree with.

If you do not do any of the above then you are truly a conservative. Otherwise you are just a filthy MAGAt.

Leave it to the two white guys, Commissioner Cagle, and Commissioner Ramsey, on the Harris County Commissioners Court to block a vote on the budget they agreed to just to sow Khaos. According to the Houston Chronicle:

Harris County employees will forgo planned raises and cost of living adjustments if the 2023 budget adopted at Commissioners Court this week goes into effect, according to an email sent by County Administrator David Berry to department heads.

The smaller spending plan was adopted after the Republican members skipped Tuesday’s Commissioners Court meeting, forcing the court’s three Democrats to adopt the same budget as last year rather than a proposed budget that included around $100 million in additional general fund spending, much of it spread across county law enforcement agencies.

This is what the Republican Party has become, the new KKK. Korrupt. Kruel. Khaotic. The lead attorney representing the State of Texas, Ken Paxton, is under multiple criminal indictments awaiting trial. Governor Abbott has illegally lured immigrants, who enter the United States legally under international law, with false promises and bussed them out of state. And the republican members of the Commissioners Court decided not to show up for work leading to Khaos and the adoption of a budget that will affect Harris County employees. This is Korruption. This is Kruelty. This is Khaotic.

This is the new party. This is the old party. The KKK. My gosh. What the *uck is wrong with you?

It’s official. Greg Abbott is a Texas sized asshole

There is no denying it any longer and there is no nice way to say it. Greg Abbott is an asshole. Just a Texas sized, lying, crippled, asshole.

On the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month Greg Abbott bussed immigrants, who came here legally through a port of entry, to Vice President Kamela Harris neighborhood in Washington DC. What kind of a dick does something like this? Seriously, why do you have to be a dick about everything?

Instead of seriously trying to address our immigration problems Abbott has resorted to racist, un-American, and Kruel human trafficking stunts to appease his racist base of MAGAt republicans. He thinks it is funny. He thinks it is cute. Maybe he will also deport his wife who is also celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.

Coming through a port of entry, applying for asylum, is not illegal under international and federal laws. The immigrants are to be processed and released but are to return to justify their request. Instead Abbott like the Kruel douche he is bussed them to other states where they will find it hard to return and then become illegal. It’s Kruel. It’s Khaotic. It’s Krap.

This is the new GOP. The KKK has returned with the biggest asshole of the nation leading the way.

CNN — Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas presented an honorary American flag recently flown above the US Capitol to a convicted January 6 rioter after she was released from prison Friday.

The insurrectionist, “Dr” Simone Gold is a COVID quack and was released from prison after serving her 60 days for breaching the capitol on Jan 6. Louie Gohmert is a MAGAt republican. Only a MAGAt would take a flag that was flown over the capitol and present it to someone who tried to overturn an election by violence.

This is sick. This is what MAGAt republicans have become.

Greg Abbott to teachers: Quit or Quit Complaining

After 20 years of Republican rule in Texas teachers might be finally wising up. According to the Houston Chronicle:

Citing financial stress, a toxic workplace culture and a recent lack of support and respect, more than three-quarters of Texas teachers are seriously considering leaving the profession, a poll from the Charles Butt Foundation found.

Well, its pretty clear what teachers are being told: either quit, or quit complaining. Teachers have a choice in November. They can accept the low pay, the understaffing, the constant attacks by elected officials and the school MAGAts in their districts or they can vote to fix this mess. Under republican rule, that teachers have tolerated, Texas ranks 45th in school funding, 49th in teacher retirement benefits, and 49th in teacher healthcare. It just ain’t pretty.

But teachers can fix this or they can just shut the hell up and quit complaining.

Harris County MAGAt Candidate calls for 1,000 new police officers (non-paid)

The Houston Police Officer’s Union might want to reconsider it’s endorsement for Harris County Judge. According to Houston Public Media candidate Alexandra Mealer wants to hire 1000 new county police. Unfortunately she doesn’t have the money to pay them but she promises she will find it. Her promises are about as valuable as an endorsement from the HPOU who have endorsed past winners like Tony Buzbee for Major.

HPOU is just recovering from their previous President’ screwup when he blamed and threatened Black Lives Matter on live TV after a raid which seriously injured 4 officers. The raid, after investigations, has resulted in the leader of the raid being charged with multiple felonies and cases being thrown out and overturned. Mealer might want to put a bit of distance between her and HPOU.

Much like Trump and Abbott Mealer is depending upon one proven principal when conducting her campaign. Lie. Lie like a dog. And do it daily. Lie about everything like claiming Harris County does not prioritize safety. As reported:

Mealer accused current county leaders of failing to prioritize public safety in the county’s short fiscal year $1.3 billion budget — despite nearly 70% being focused on public safety.

Mealer will lie about violent crime which has been coming down. She will lie about the budget. She will lie about “Backing the Blue” all while she supports the insurrectionist of Jan 6, Donald Trump, and Greg Abbott flooding the streets with military style weapons that law enforcement must face every day.

Like every MAGAt republican running for office, she is just a Texas sized liar.

Why the Republican Party will NEVER fix our broken immigration system

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why, after 20 years of republican rule in Texas, republicans have not and will not fix our broken immigration system. It’s all they have to run on.

Think about it. Greg Abbott and his Republican Party have been in complete control of Texas in the House, Senate, Governor’s office, Supreme Court, and all state wide offices and yet after 20 years they still haven’t even addressed our broken immigration system except for Kruel, Khaotic, and Kostly political stunts. (KKK)

Now that women have been stripped of their reproduction rights by overturning Roe v. Wade, the Republican Party has only one boogie man left to blame for crime, stealing jobs, and raping Texan women who must carry the rapist baby to term: Mexicans. They have campaigned on the immigration issue for more than 20 years even though they controlled all levels of government on the Federal level and state level. They never intend to solve this problem.

Back n August of 2006 under a Republican President and Governor the major sugar daddies of the Republican Party wrote an op-ed in the Dallas Morning News calling for immigration reform. According to the op-ed:

Not only that, but immigrant workers renew and reinvigorate America. They remind us what it’s like to give a job your all. We talk about old-fashioned family values; they live them. And those of us who cherish our faith and love our country can only rejoice at their devotion to both. Newsflash: The republicans did nothing. Nothing at all. Zero. Zip. Nada. These companies thrive on illegal, cheap, workers. They depend upon illegal, cheap, workers. Those who signed this op-ed include Bob Perry (homebuilder) Bo Pilgrim (chicken producer), J. Huffines (Auto dealer), Red McCombs (Auto dealer) and other Republican Party sugar daddies.

Even under trump and a republican controlled congress and republican controlled state they did absolutely nothing. They didn’t pass a bill to fund their “stupid” wall but they did initiate Kruel stunts such as separating children from their mothers.

“What we don’t need right now are stunts,” O’Rourke told about 300 people at a dance hall in Del Rio on Saturday — a message he repeated in earlier stops in both Laredo and Eagle Pass.

Not to be out done by the Houston Astros the Houston Texans organization is going all out to honor the 19 elementary kids and their 2 teachers that were massacred in Uvalde Texas. According to CNN they will play their opening game with a “Uvalde Strong” sticker on their helmets.

(CNN)The Houston Texans will honor the victims of the Uvalde massacre at Robb Elementary School by wearing an “Uvalde Strong” decal on their helmets during the team’s opening game of the NFL regular season on September 11.

The coach took a knee and said “It’s the least we can do. Literally. I don’t think there is anything less we could do that would give us the feeling of accomplishment after 19 children were slaughtered with a military weapon.”

Actually he didn’t say that but what else could the Houston Texans do besides wearing a sticker, or giving the high school football team tickets to the game even though their school wasn’t the site of a mass murder? What else could they do besides wine and dine those who didn’t lose a child in a preventable massacre? Glad you asked.

Maybe the Texans ought to take a fuckin knee during the National Anthem to bring attention to the lack of common sense gun laws that are killing kids, worshipers, dancers, and people at a parade. Maybe they could call for a moment of yelling to bring attention to the lack of attention by republican leaders to this epidemic of gun violence. Maybe they could stand up and demand our elected officials to take action. Maybe they could use their power to do something besides putting a fuckin sticker on their g*damn helmets and act as if it never happened or will never happen again.

Now, go wash your g*damn hands.

The Texas Ethics Commission finally nails Michael Sullivan of Empower Texas

It’s sad that it takes 10 years for justice to be served but served it was. According to the Houston Chronicle:

A Texas appeals court this week upheld a nearly decade-old fine by the state ethics agency against former Empower Texans CEO and conservative activist Michael Quinn Sullivan for failing to register as a lobbyist.

The details of this complaint filed with the Texas Ethics Commission in 2010 are interesting. Why would they issue such a large fine of $10,000 on such a small issue as not registering as a lobbyist for a simple $100 fee. I will summarize the final order explaining here:

  • Empower Texas is an extreme right wing organization
  • Michael Quinn Sullivan was the CEO at the time
  • The complaint was filed by 2 republican law makers
  • The complaint alleged Sullivan failed to file as a lobbyist in 2010, the filing fee was only $100
  • After a 2 year investigation he was fined $10,000
  • The Commission subpoenaed documents from Sullivan
  • They came to the conclusion that “Mr. Sullivan and Empower Texans have destroyed or lost thousands of emails sent to members of the Legislature during 2010 and 2011, despite having received written requests for such information in 2012”
  • Sullivan was subpoenaed to show at the formal hearing but refused to answer any questions “asserting his rights under the First, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendment as a basis for his refusal to testify”
  • “The Commission’s unanimous opinion is that Mr. Sullivan is a paid lobbyist who is required to register under Texas law.”

So bottom line it would seem the Ethics Commission had a real problem with Sullivan not producing subpoenaed documentation as well as him refusing to answer questions. Maybe that was the reason for the $10,000 fine. It took 10 years to resolve this. This is what happens when you have uncontrolled money in politics.

Another republican talking point down in flames: Bail reform

It isn’t getting any better for the Harris County Republican Party. With gas prices falling, consumer confidence rising, unemployment at record low levels, the economy is recovering from COVID, inflation on the way down, women angry about government overreach into their uterus, electricity prices skyrocketing, streets are flooded with guns, the party is grasping for a message. One of those has just been shot down.

Harris County, under an agreement with the federal government in 2017, ushered in bail reform for misdemeanor cases. Needless to say the MAGAt Republicans jumped on this like a 18 year old at a raffle for an AR15 assault rifle claiming it would increase crime. It didn’t. According to a study documented by The Texas Standard:

Now, new research from the University of Pennsylvania’s Quattrone Center for the Fair Administration of Justice indicates Harris County’s bail policies do not compromise public safety.

In the words of Rick Perry, Oops. The Houston Chronicle has more on this subject. The scare tactics by the Republican Party are nothing but scare tactics. It’s all they have at this point. Facts do not matter to them. Neither do studies. But the facts remain crime statistics are on the decline even though Abbott has flooded the streets with uncontrolled gun access putting our police on high alert.

Maybe the republicans might want to look at their record over the last 20 years before shooting their mouths and feet off.

Governor Abbott lies to the sad faces of the parents of the Uvalde massacre.

We do thing bigger in Texas including having the biggest liar as our Governor.

It not low enough for Abbott to sign legislation sitting with the head of the NRA to protect guns in Texas right after the Santa Fe shooting. It’s not low enough for Abbott to say “It could have been worse” after 19 children were gunned down with the very weapon Abbott protected. No it’s not low enough for Abbott so he went further.

According to the Houston Chronicle he claimed, incorrectly, that he could not call a special session because it was unconstitutional to raise the age to buy an AR15 from 18 to 21. He thinks we are idiots. There are limits across the country on the age you can purchase an assault weapon. In some states no one can buy an assault weapon. In the United States we had a complete ban on the purchase of assault weapons for 10 full years until the Republican Party let it lapse. So Greg Abbott just fuckin lied to their sad faces.

Even if Abbott was right, and he is not, he could put this to the voters in Texas and amend the Texas Constitution to raise the age to 21 and it would pass 80-20. He could put a complete ban on assault weapon ownership and it would pass 60-40. But it is so much easier to just be like trump and lie like a rotten dog.

The Uvalde parents have been demanding Abbott to call a special session to raise the age to buy a rifle from 18 to 21. The shooter that killed their children was 18 and was able to buy multiple assault weapons and more according to the NYPost he bought:

  • Smith and Wesson M&P15 (also an AR-15-style rifle)
  • Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 (an AR-15-style rifle)
  • 375 rounds of M193, a 5.56mm 55-grain round with a full metal jacket
  • 60 30-round magazines,
  • a holographic weapon sight
  • Hellfire Gen 2 snap-on trigger system
  • 1,740 rounds of 5.56mm 75-grain boat tail hollow point

By now if you don’t know who Greg Abbott is then you will never know what he is.

Fourth Officer Who Responded to Jan. 6 Capitol Riot Dies

Well, President Joe Biden has asked the right question to the MAGAt Republicans. Whose side are you on?

The Republican Party has flooded our streets with guns including military style weapons, high capacity clips, armor piercing bullets, body armor, and Mafia style silencers and yet they claim to “Back the Blue”. These killing machines strike fear in law enforcement as well as every citizen in the United States.

The Republican Party has embraced open carry of assault weapons in public and expect Law Enforcement to take a chance that the owner is not a mentally ill person waiting to kill police or children. They treat gun ownership like a joke while Police are faced with your jokes on a daily basis.

Republican leaders watched as Police Officers were attacked, beaten, on the steps of the United States Capitol, and did nothing. They watched. Silently. Gleefully. They advocate for riots and violence in defense of their leader, Donald Trump, even when faced with overwhelming evidence provided by the FBI and the Department of Justice.

They refused to call out those in their party and their media mouth pieces when they hint about or justify the use of force against the FBI, IRS, and other members of law enforcement.

It just begs the question: Whose side are you on? Seriously. What the fuck is wrong with you? What the living fuck is wrong with you? In the words of Beto O’Rourke ““It may be funny to you, motherfucker, but it is not funny to me.”

This isn’t funny. You are going to get more people killed with your hateful rhetoric.

Washing your hands of the Uvalde Massacre

Spare me.

I have never liked Mattress MAGAt Mack or his furniture store. I’ve been critical of the Houston Astros for organizing this feel good stunt of honoring Uvalde citizens who survived the shooting. Instead of actually using their power to stop this senseless violence like the Uvalde Massacre from happening again they chose to do something easy, something that can wash their hands of the blood of the kids killed.

The Astros could have used the opportunity to tell the Uvalde community, and all communities across the state that they will do whatever they can to prevent spending another nickel on consoling those affected by gun violence. They could do more than a moment of silence. They could do more than hitting a homerun for a fan.

MAGAt Mack joined in the ceremonial, feel good, event calling it a “Day to Remember”. You know what is a day to remember? May 24, 2022. That’s the day 19 children were slaughtered by an 18 year old with a military assault weapon. Maybe instead of eating a hotdog, playing a stupid game and feeling good about yourself, you could stop giving money to the elected officials who gave the 18 year old the right to buy the weapon. Maybe you could stand up and use your power to demand a change in laws to prevent another massacre and still protect the rights to own guns, responsibly.

Instead MAGAt Mack and the Astros would rather have their very own “Day to Remember”, a day that will live in infamy, at least for them. Now, go wash your goddamn hands.

As of today women’s reproductive rights are over in Texas thanks to Greg Abbott’s “trigger law” which bans abortions for rape and incest victims. According to the Houston Chronicle:

A new state law that prohibits all abortions from the moment of fertilization, except if the mother’s life is at risk, is now in effect. Any doctor that performs an abortion could face life in prison and at least $100,000 in penalties. They could also lose their medical licenses.

The right to address a pregnancy by a mother and her doctor is now replaced with the Greg Abbott’s long arm of government keeping that child in a women womb regardless of the viability of the child or the life of the mother. A rapist best friend is now Greg Abbott who will protect the rapist’s child born to a 10 year old.

This is sick. Just plain sick. Come November we need to abort Abbott.

Don’t Move to Texas

It’s hard to disagree when Texas leads the nation in mass shootings (8), is the easiest state to get a gun, a state where anyone can walk around in public with a loaded AR15, a 100 round barrel clip, a silencer, and wearing body armor. A state with out of control property taxes, electricity rates, college tuition rates, home prices, and home insurance premiums. Texas ranks 49th in benefits for teachers in the nation, 45th in education. Texas teachers are underpaid, under appreciated, and under attack. Texas doesn’t take too kindly to gays, muslims, Mexicans, or anyone who even looks illegal. Texas has flooded the streets with unlimited guns putting our law enforcement under constant stress to keep us safe. And Texas is ranked 48th in quality of living

In short, Texas sucks. Do yourself a favor, Don’t Mess Move With To Texas.

Democratic Headquarters opens in the Bay Area

Democrats in Bay Area Houston opened their campaign headquarters for the 2022 election. Located at 1215 Bay Area Blvd on the corner of Diana and Bay Area, the office will be a focal point for campaign activities including their Grand Opening last Sunday.

Hundreds of Democrats stopped by during the event to pick up campaign signs and meet the candidates including Commissioner Adrian Garcia and our Harris County judicial candidates. We even had a surprise visit by the Chair of the Texas Democratic Party!

The office will be opened from 11-6 every day and will extend their hours as needed for phone banking and block walking activities.
