League City Mayor Nick Long’s Social Media Meltdown.

June 20, 2025
Galveston County Daily News

La Marque was on the edge of taking over the chaos in the city until Nick Long found a keyboard.

You would think the Mayor of League City would learn to read the room and STFU especially after this buddy Justin Hicks passed the chaos torch to La Marque and resigned. But the peaceful protest in his city against his lord and savior, Donald Trump, triggered him.

The protest was a huge success with almost 1000 showing up in a deep, deep, red area of Texas. The police did a great job and were greatly appreciated. The Trump supporters arrived in the single digits, at most 9 at one time. They had more signs than people to hold them. That didn’t stop Long from making ignorant comments on social media and commenting on a made-up claim about being harassed. (That didn’t happen)

He claimed that Elon Musk’s AI app, Grok, estimated just 350. Grok and Elon are NAZI trash. Besides, why in the fuck would Long care? It was a successful and peaceful protest. No one brought guns. No one stormed city hall. No one beat up or killed a cop. No one was flying NAZI or Confederate flags. League City received praise for all of this from the Galveston Daily News. All Long should have done was take credit for it, thank the protestors and the police, and go do something more productive like picking on the Gay Community. Again.

Here are pics of Long’s anti-protestors:

League City Mayor, Nick Long, controversy. Again.

June 16, 2025

La Marque City Council was successfully wrestling the title of “most controversial” away from League City until yesterday.

Nick Long might want to put his hatred for the gay community on hold for a bit. He might want to stop believing every white wing post on twitter. He might want to get back to doing the work of the city like providing outstanding support to the protest held on Saturday. And he might want to read the room. Being a hateful dick is becoming very unpopular.

Yesterday Long had to make a stupid comment on a post concerning the New York Mets. The Mets were celebrating Pride month and during the National Anthem the TV screen briefly showed the pride flag. So Long had to make his ignorant comment claiming the Mets had replaced the American Flag with the pride flag. How fucking stupid is Long to believe something that incredibly stupid. Long actually isn’t stupid. He knew this was total bullshit but he wanted to show off his hate for a select group of people in League City like he did when he supported Justin Hicks book ban.

This is who he is.

Texas AG Ruling on League City Attorney

March 31, 2025

I’m not sure why this was sent to me.

The League City Attorney asked for an opinion concerning releasing information about former City Council Member Justin Hicks. As you recall I45Now had requested information concerning a police event at the Hicks residence. Hicks asked the League City Attorney to suppress the records. This event eventually ended in Hicks resignation.

The Texas AG has responded with the bottom line of “Accordingly the city may not withhold any of the submitted information…..”.

Election Turmoil: The Higginbotham and Hicks Saga

March 9, 2025

The signs are out on the streets yet City Council has not authorized an election to replace Justin Hicks who resigned last week after month of turmoil. Scott Higginbotham, who lost to Council Member Tom Crews in 2024, got a jump on City Council and has put up signs throughout the city. In that election he lost by just a few hundred votes while his buddy Justin Hicks easily won by 10 points, not vote, points. Go figure. I had expected the Higginbotham/Hicks team to win. Maybe Higginbotham didn’t have enough baggage like Hicks had. As I said in a previous post:

Justin ran on his credentials of being a MAGAt conservative and decorated Iraq war veteran. The voters gave Hicks a pass on his inability to be honest about his campaign finance reports, hold a job, pay his bills, or his filing for bankruptcy. Someone with this type of record should never get near an elected office. Yet the same voters who put Hicks back in office also re-elected a true conservative, Tom Crews. They voted from one extreme to common decency.

Higginbotham self financed his campaign with over $20,000 and a donation from Nick Long’s PAC. He has an Ethics Commission investigation for this donation. Higginbotham gave Long’s PAC $5000 who then gave $5000 to Parabellum Media LLC in support of Higginbotham. It’s very strange and worth looking into.

But make no mistake about it. Higginbotham is endorsed by Hicks, the Mayor and Council Member Tom Cones who refused to call for Hicks’ resignation. Higginbotham’s ethics complaint might be resolved this month before the election. Until then it is clear Hicks 2.0 is going to be on the ballot.

When Conservatives lose their party: Justin Hicks

March 1, 2025

It’s over. League City MAGAManiac Council Member Justin Hicks has resigned.

As I have said in the past I have $175 worth of reasons to oppose Justin Hicks but I’m not happy with the results. He is being investigated by the District Attorney and the burden of his fiasco has been put on his wife and kids. Unfortunately that is all on him. He did it. He is responsible for it. Still it is a sad ending to a problem caused by the so called “conservatives” of the Republic Party. You so called “conservatives” put him in office. You did this.

And now it’s difficult to watch City Council and the Mayor call for his resignation claiming they are “committed to to upholding the highest standards of conduct and integrity”, and accusing him of violating rules of procedures and conduct unbecoming of an elected official. They accuse Hicks of attacking law enforcement, being above the law, abusing his power as an elected official and yet they all probably voted for that rotten bastard Trump.

Trump, unlike Justin Hicks, is a convicted felon. He fucked a porn star, paid her off to keep quiet, and then lied about it to his constituents. He stole classified documents, hid them from the FBI, then lied about it. He was indicted for organizing a riot at the capitol which ended in a number of law enforcement officials being attacked, some dying. He watched for over 3 hours as he watched his mob attack law enforcement. He was impeached. Twice. And yet you fucking so called “conservatives” voted to put him in office. Again.

And now League City Mayor Nick Long has the balls to call a special meeting to sanction Hicks and call for his resignation all while he and others ignore what that fucked up Trump has done. What the fuck is wrong with you fucking people? Yes Hicks should have been sanctioned. He should have resigned but the hypocrisy of the so called conservatives on City Council is epic. Just fucking epic.

True conservatives need to admit it. You have lost your party. You have lost your morals. You have lost your balls. You have lost your common sense. But you have an opportunity to take back your party. Restore it to the part of Lincoln and Reagan. Restore it to the party of family values, common sense, and fiscal responsibility,

Or else just go fuck yourself.

Fallout from the Justin Hicks scandal continues

February 28, 2025

It is getting ugly.

The latest is that most of City Council has sided with the League City Chief of Police over Hicks in his account of what took place Feb 22, a day after Hicks was served with divorce papers. Some have called for his resignation. Only CM Tommy Cones and CM Andy Mann haven’t responded. Cones responded to a constituent asking him to call for Hicks to resign with “Get the facts before you pass judgement.” Well the facts are all written in an email from his wife to the Chief and CCed to Sergeant Jason Kifer and it is not good, involving guns, his children, and and confrontation with Hicks. You can read the entire email here. (It is very disturbing) Here is a snippet:

This email and Hick’s attack on the integrity of the Chief of Police should convince anyone, including City Council members, that are holding out on passing judgement to do so. Now. There is not much the Mayor, who supported Hicks as Mayor Pro Tem, or City Council can do to remove him from office. League City has a very hard recall process and would take a considerable amount of time, energy, and money. Council could remove him from his committee assignments and leave him with little if any power. He would be ignored on Council. He would be shunned. All he would be able to do is vote.

Take a moment to read the email sent from his wife. It really is disturbing.

League City Council Member calls for Justin Hicks to resign

February 26, 2025

League City Council Member Justin Hicks needs time to address problems in his life.

Look, I have $175 worth of reasons to crap on CM Justin Hicks. He is a Trump wannabe, above the law, pushing his newly found party’s extreme policies including attacks on the gay community, minorities, and the book banning. He has meddled in CCISD elections along side of CCISD Trustee Scott Bowen. He ran on being fiscally conservative yet has recently completed a bankruptcy filing. He is so extreme only 9 of the 64 the Galveston County precinct chairs endorsed his reelection. He also has a pending ethics complaint for not disclosing a $12,000 loan from his wife.

But this latest episode is bad and Council Member Tressler has called for his resignation. Again I have $175 reasons to pile on but I have to agree with the speaker at last months meeting who urged Hicks to resign for the good of himself and his family. Tressler voiced his opinion about Hicks before the election and urged a vote for his opponent:

In summary, Justin Hicks is the worst member of Council I’ve ever witnessed. His out of control ego, his abusive treatment of other folks, and his seeming inability to tell the truth all should be red flags for potential voters. If anyone would like to know more details regarding any of my thoughts on this, please feel free to give me a call or email.

You can read his detailed opinion here. Today he is calling for Hicks to resign and for good reason. According to a number of articles by I45Now the police were called to his home for a domestic disturbance, twice. That was on Jan 5 and 6. Since then his wife has filed for divorce and a restraining order. The day after filing Hicks was back at the house which prompted 2 calls to the League City Police. According to the article Hicks tried to get access to the police reports and body cameras without filing an open request. He attempted to use his position as a Council Member with the Police Chief and again with a staff member. Both denied him.

The Chief sent an email (below) to the entire Council with the following:

I find it deeply troubling that a Councilman would believe his position grants him the authority to demand actions that violate the law…….I will not engage in unethical or illegal behaviors at the request of Councilman Hicks.

This is some serious shit. Hicks is a public figure and his actions will continue to be scrutinized. He should resign and turn this spotlight off of him and his family.

Scott Bowen: A Threat to CCISD Education

February 17, 2025

Two terms of chaos is enough.

Scott Bowen has brought chaos, division, and stupidity to the CCISD School Board. Taxpayers, parents, teachers, and students deserve better. Prior to Bowen’s election the Board was populated with members of the community whose interests were solely educational. They had a background in education, kids in CCISD, or a skill needed by the district. Bowen had/has none of these. The Trustees put the district’s well being ahead of their political views. Bowen brought his political bullshit into the classroom.

It’s time to take Bowen out. Here is a list of good reasons to end Bowen’s time on the Board. Keep in mind while reading this Bowen always campaigns on “Keeping politics out of CCISD”.

Bowen’s Association with extremist organizations:

Nick Fuentes

CRT, DEI, Vouchers and more.

  • Bowen spearheaded the worthless effort calling for the end of “CRT” in the classroom. CRT or “Critical Race Theory” was never taught in CCISD and was never planned to be taught. It’s a graduate course taught in a few colleges, not k-12. It was a huge waste of effort, time, and money.
  • He spearheaded the book ban targeting the Gay community including parents, teachers, and students. (his family members are gay)
  • He was caught on camera advocating for school vouchers by sponsoring a resolution for the Texas Republic Party. It passed but not unanimously.
  • He was caught on camera testifying against public schools and claiming to representing the district (A formal grievance was filed against him for this)

Recruiting candidates to run against sitting Board Members

Katy ISD Trustee
  • Since being elected he has recruited 5 candidates to run for the board to advance his political agenda. Two won. One is currently sitting on the Board. (Larson)
  • He ran for President, Vice President, and Secretary but received just 3 votes on each, and was rejected by the Board. He continues to look for the 4th vote.
  • He solicited money from extremist PACs with one goal of taking over School Boards.
  • CCISD Voters have resisted the takeover of School Boards by extremist PACs unlike voters in Keller ISD, Katy ISD. They are in turmoil.
  • He recruited Christine Parizo to run against the sitting President. She lost by 25 points, called for a recount, claimed voter fraud, called for an investigation by the Texas Attorney General. She lost all claims.
  • He recruited Misty Dawson the most unqualified candidate to run for the School Board. She lost, called for a recount, then sued. Eventually she dropped her suit.
  • Bowen, as a sitting Trustee, meddled in the lawsuit Dawson brought against her winning opponent.
  • He recruited Pete Lauzon to run against the sitting President. Lauzon was mainly funded by Defend Texas Liberty, the PAC associated with the white supremacist. He also lost.
  • He has recruited a candidate (Joe Machol) to run against a sitting Board member.
  • He has solicited money and support from partisan organizations with unlimited money.

Other issues

Hicks, Long, Bowen

It’s time to end Bowen’s career at CCISD and let him start running for State Representative or Congress. These districts are so gerrymandered he will win no matter how much money he takes from white supremacists.

League City Attorney clears League City Attorney

February 4, 2025

You can’t make this stuff up.

After an article from I45Now on the handling of a public information request (PIR) concerning a domestic dispute at the home of City Council Member Justin Hicks, Mayor Long demanded a full report on the PIR process. On Monday that 5 page report was released and it didn’t disappoint in raising more questions. In short the Attorney says her office did no wrong giving Hicks special assistance in a personal matter.

You have to hand it to TJ Aulds of I45Now for breaking the story last week. In his latest article he catches Mayor Long in an interesting moment:

Contacted soon after the report was issued, Long - who said he reviewed the report on Sunday - said after he read the report, he was “satisfied” with how the city attorney’s office handled the request for records.

That was until Aulds notified him; the timeline shows Hicks twice contacted the city attorney’s office and received an advance copy of the city’s request, even before it was submitted to the attorney general or i45NOW.

Oops. The article continues:

‘It’s certainly unusual treatment,” Long said when asked if it was proper that Hicks was communicating with the city attorney and provided information ahead of all others, even though the domestic disturbance call to his house was not connected to his duties as a city official.

I get the feeling this is not over.

The Hypocrisy. The Hypocrisy. Hicks Facebook plant.

February 1, 2025

It was a line I have always remembered from Apocalypse Now by Marlon Brandon. You can watch it here.

But, back to Justin. Facebook can be a bitch. Back in 2022 Hicks was meddling in the CCISD elections. His buddy, Scott Bowen, candidate for CCISD, Misty Dawson, had lost the election by a very slim margin unlike Scott Bowen’s other candidate, Stephanie Parizo. She lost by 25 points, not votes, points. Bowen really needed Dawson to win to swing the Board and make him the President.

Dawson brought a suit against her opponent, not CCISD. So Justin posted the following on Facebook claiming that CCISD providing legal assistance to the winner was illegal, a violation of Texas Penal Code Chapter 39.02. What is Texas Penal Code Chapter 39.02? Glad you asked:

The Board consulted with the legal community and was unanimous in supporting funding. That vote including an AYE from Bowen leaving Hicks with egg on his Facebook. Fast forward to this week’s chaos. Hicks seems to have intent to obtain a benefit from city resources, specifically the City Attorney, for his own personal domestic dispute.

So using Hick’s own words “What I need you to do: Email the entire board and tell them to NOT use taxpayer funds to defend a personal civil suit (felony).”

Damn Facebook.
